OSU Schedule is a joke.

The ranked opponents on their schedules:
Notre Dame: first week of the year and lost to marshall the following week.
@Penn St: Solid road win
Michigan beating you at home by 22 points last regular weekend. You can't get beat that bad at home and be a top 4 team in the country.

I don't think we are a top 4 team, but LSU losing to alternate lifestyle U I think did us in. I just was hoping we could backdoor our way in just for the melt of all melts.

Eh, we lost two games. Hard to complain. It's always a balance of best team and best results.

I don’t think fatigue has anything to do with it. The Bama/OSU debate is silly. Neither team deserves to be in the playoff this year. It doesn’t have anything to do with schedules. We didn’t win the games we needed to win to get there this season. It is what it is. If OSU beats UM, they’re in. If we hold on against UT OR LSU, we’re playing for another SEC championship and a playoff birth this Saturday. Neither team took care of business on the field and honestly, I think TCU and USC are more deserving. There were times that I thought we should be in the playoff with a loss or without an SECCG appearance, but this ain’t one of them.

At this point, it’s all about development and bowl practice. Beat the snot out of someone on NYD, get the young guys some live reps, and send the upperclassmen out on a high note. It’s nothing to be ashamed of… we were a little off this season and most everyone could see it. Finish strong and come into next year with a fresh start, along with some new coordinators.

OP is right. Bama is a team people love to hate.......Other teams win for decades they are considered 'Americas team'. Bama wins and people scream "Bama is bad for football", "When will the dynasty end".

Usually, teams with 2 losses don't get to the playoffs.

Gotta focus on our bowl game, even if we have a slight chance of getting in

We lost twice, giving up 52 points and botching the last minute in one and losing to a barely above average LSU team in another. Ohio St hasn’t been dominant at all this year but going by the committee’s rankings they have two better wins than we do and one fewer loss.

I've been bitching about OSU, Michigan and TCU all year long. Even Oregon.

Give Mississippi State any of those schedules and they'd dominate. The shite gets old every single fricking year. And with Texas and OU joining the conference, it only makes it more difficult for SEC members while Ohio State coasts to the playoffs with easy wins over laughable teams like Northwestern, Indiana, Illinois, etc. every week.

fricking two loss SEC teams would be more deserving than an undefeated Big 10 team.

I actually think the additions of UT and OU will benefit the conferences as a whole when the expanded playoff starts. The conference has already had multiple contenders with a four team system… if they move to twelve teams, I full expect the SEC to get 4-5 playoff teams on a regular basis. While the conference and playoff expand, the SEC will benefit as much or more than anyone else.

It will still be the same argument we’re having now though, with different teams and situations. “Does a 3/4 loss SEC team qualify over a 2/3 loss ACC/PAC team?” Like everything football, I think the conference will get the benefit of the doubt more often than not.

C’mon… I’d love for you to be right, but how can you say that Bama or UT would rightfully deserve a spot over Michigan?
