It's ok I am trying to be more "transparent" so jimmies will remain unrustled
I like Ty Smith, hope he gets an offer, unless weare trying to sneak in Jacory this weekend, if so Ty can certainly go somewhere else

It appears he has the inside track over Markell Boston to get one. I guess the staff is waiting to see how OJ Smith's visit to MSU goes as well as Chris William's visit to UCF before pulling the trigger on TFS and Boston.

Saw this on the LSURb regarding Washington:
quote:
Ponamsky clarified on ST that Washington is not visiting Bama but will take an UOV to BR and help recruit LMFAO

Didn't think he was
Anyway wonder if staff can push hard enough with Nick Gibson that'd be sweet to pick up a commitment from him as well

There are going to be some very, very good RBs in the 2015 class that are not going to get an offer due to our depth at the position.
If Kerryon Johnson is promised a RB spot with Flowers already committed, I don't know who else is getting a committable offer.

Gibson better get an offer, he is legit
I think staff will keep Kerryon at S JMO, we will see

If LSU doesn't get dupre and he comes here that means Alabama will have 4 of the top 10 in LA and they will have 4, and Willis and Noil went to fla and aTm. I wish I could see what they were saying a year ago around this time

Personally, I think the RBs in-state are too good to pass on for a second year in a row. I know we have Flowers committed, but we do need two in this class. Stay in-state with it.

Could we take all 3 RBs in the state or y'all think 1 will go to AU?

There was a thread Trey bumped a while back on the SEC Rb that a poster started this time a yr ago saying all these guys would sign with LSU and listed every highly rated guy in La and then said it will be the greatest class in the history of mankind or something like that
His bump was pretty funny

Flowers, Johnson, Gibson? Then mixon goes to ua cus he's speed back?
Posted on 1/31/14 at 1:03 pm to BuccWildBammer
Lol I would have enjoyed seeing that. Braddock shaw is another RB in the state so that makes 4 plus mixon who is an APB. Would like to see a reevaluated list unless all those guys are legit 3 stars and in case I'll take Johnson and flowers and call it a day

I just hope he rises quickly enough but I believe he will end up at the top this time next yr

All of these guys are in-state RBs in the 2015 class:
4-star RB Desherrius Flowers, Mobile, AL 6'1" 212 pounds Highlights
Kerryon Johnson Highlights
Bradrick Shaw Highlights
Traveon Samuel Highlights
Keith Mixon Highlights
Nick Gibson Highlights
Jamarius Henderson Highlights
Not to mention this guy, who already favors Alabama and will be a 5-star coming out of JUCO:
Jovon Robinson - JUCO Highlights
We don't have room for all of them.

Saban told Gibson he'd be getting an offer at Junior Day a week or so ago.
Posted on 1/31/14 at 2:22 pm to TideSaint
I say keep Flowers, add Gibson
Add Kerryon as a S
Add Jovon (I think he wants in no matter how many RBs we take)

Credit to Bucc for posting it on the SECRb first:
It appears Evans' grandfather's party will not take place on the Auburn campus as our brethren from the East reported earlier this week.
Oh yeah. I almost forgot. His father, Allen, dropped this nugget into the story as well:
quote:
Malzahn will have one last chance to meet with Evans and his family on Saturday when he attends a birthday party at the Evans' home that will include hundreds of friends and family members. It will also feature another guest: Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart.
"They both wanted to be there for the party and we wanted to be able to spend time with both coaches so, I guess they are both going to be there," Alan Evans said. "It might be a little awkward I guess but that's recruiting. We are glad to welcome them both and it should be a great party."

quote:
"Right now, the plan is to make the announcement of ESPN on Signing Day at the high school but the more we've thought about it, the more we think the pressure from being here in Auburn might be something we'd like to avoid. We haven't canceled that plan but it's on the table for discussion. If Rashaan ends up picking Alabama, it could obviously lead to some reactions from the folks from this part of the state and we don't want him to feel any anxiety about that, especially if it could affect his decision."

Was looking at AL.com reading about the horrible explosion R33D was telling me about and it scrolled on my Sports ticker on it , went to post elsewhere and it was already posted
Thought I'd use it to get that thread back on track
