I saw it. I edited.
They can't control it if he graduates.

Which was? Can you quote it?
Sure can.
"Even if he had interest in transferring to Alabama, I could see USC wanting to block it because of Kiffin. But then again, they might have a say since it's not a "normal" transfer. "

Holy crap. I've been a member here since 2008 and did not know that.

But the SEC regulates graduate transfers. Says if they only have one year of eligibility left then the person can't transfer to an SEC school. Obviously Coker having two years of playing time left prevented the conference rule from being applied. How much playing time does Wittek have left?

He and Coker both came out of the Class of 2011 and I believe he redshirted his Freshman year so I assume he has 2 years left as well.

I've held my tongue in the discussion of Elam or Evans but since I'm a DL guy I understand the impact both guys could have in Bama's scheme and I would prefer to have a 0 tech NG, the first true guy who demands double and triple teams since Terrence Cody. Chapman was great and was a lot more effective than he probably should have been for his size because of his power, but Elam is 6'6 340 and explosive, he just needs some proper technique coaching
Adding Frazier and Reed as guys who can play 3-5 tech with Elam would let guys we already have and are adding in this class make it hell on wheels for QBs. Evans would be nice but not as big an impact as Elam IMO and I love Evans for sure no doubt, he's a beast but the pass rush should be improved with guys like Hand and Miller and Allen etc already
With or without Evans, this class is adding some phenomenal pieces on D

Evans would give us something we haven't had in a long, long time in a legit pass rushing stud.

He's a poor mans Christian Miller. Elam is way more important.

Evans and Miller are both poor man's versions of Holcombe

What? No.
I love Miller too, but Evans is the better player IMO. He's already rated higher than Miller by 24 spots in the Composite rankings so I'm not the only person who feels that way.
Both are studs, give me Evans.

Which is a complete joke. Miller is the best OLB in this class by a lot.

Evans is also physically more ready than Christian Miller right now. Miller needs the redshirt to gain some size whereas Evans is ready to contribute right away. Who will have a better college career? I don't know. I think they are both phenomenal athletes. I've never thought we had a chance with Evans. Still don't.

I agree. Evans will see the field faster than Miller. Miller may grow into a terror after a RS season, but he's not ready to contribute yet. He only weighs 205 pounds. Our punter weighs more than that.

Sadly, this is true. But could you imagine our defense with both of them on the field in 2-3 years?

And I'm not saying Elam isn't important. I hope we land him.
But he is like Miller. He needs a RS year before he is ready to contribute on a regular basis.
I just like the guy who is ready to go right away, and that's Evans.
