yeah, 6-3 220lb (S)safety sounds like a big dude. Trying to think of a comparatively sized safety.

Those two would make quite the tandem.

Keep in mind he predicted him to Auburn a while ago too.. He's been pretty spot on with his picks.

Saban and Smart are doing the in home tonight, this could be the deal breaker for us. Really hope Saban sells him on the program. Playing for Nick Saban, especially on defense, DOES carry extra weight when that draft comes around.

Hope guys like Hand get in his ear too, talk about how legendary the front seven could be in a few years with guys like him, Evans, Miller, Elam*, Frazier, etc

Agreed. He has been far from a sunshine pumper. This is the first time I think maybe we do have a chance.

Signing day is exhausting for even the tamest of fans who follow recruiting. Can't imagine being on a staff and having to deal with this.

My attempt at figuring out the RB situation for the next few years.

2014

The players:

TJ Yeldon (Jr)
Derrick Henry (So)
Kenyan Drake (Jr)
Tyren Jones (RsFr)
Altee Tenpenny (So)
Bo Scarbrough (Fr)

Yeldon, Henry, and Drake share carries as a three headed monster. Jones, Tenpenny, and Bo share garbage time carries. Bo probably moves around a bit, plays some slot, lines up out wide, maybe even as an H-Back.

Yeldon and Drake go to the NFL.

2015

The players:

Derrick Henry (Jr)
Tyren Jones (RsSo)
Altee Tenpenny (Jr)
Bo Scarbrough (So)
Any Freshman that come in

Henry, Jones, and Tenpenny share carries as a three headed monster in the backfield. Bo sees more time as a receiver and maybe H-Back, and gets garbage time carries with Freshmen. After th season, Henry heads to the league, and then if their stock looks good Jones/Tenpenny either go or come back for another season. If they go, Bo and the then Sophomore(s) share carries, if they stay Jones, Tenpenny, and Bo becomes the three headed monster.

Why would Drake go to the NFL if Yeldon goes? He hasn't had a year at being the starter.

Maybe, but won't prevent him from going if he gets a decent grade and knows he can show out at the combine/pro day. More and more guys leave early every year now.

But would he if he came back? Henry plus everyone else breathing down his neck. I'd love for him to stay, but if we're looking at how many guys leave early nowadays and he has a good year next year by cutting down on fumbles and sharing carries with Yeldon/Henry, he could get a solid enough grade where he thinks he can improve it with his postseason workouts.

I wouldn't object to him staying for his Senior year.
