Just in time for Hampton to keep his commitment to OM. All of our safeties with meaningful play time are leaving after next season except for Geno Smith. :/

Yes he is an EE. I'm going to go ahead and guess that he goes to LSU. Sonny on geaux247 said he has known about this for a week and his official didn't meet expectations. Strange.

What part of "we are losing all of our safeties that have had meaningful playing time except for Geno" makes this a want, not need situation. This will probably lead us to losing Hampton as well.

The fact that we have Saban, we'll always get someone that is top tier. There isn't a single recruit that the man "needs", and he's right. He'll win with or without Hootie.

He did sign the FAA papers so the coaching staffs of both LSU and Bama can have unlimited phone contact. Hope we can get him back again, but I have my doubts.

Undersized LB Ronnie Clark
Converted corner Geno Smith
30 year old Jai Miller

We will sign another one, it may not be an "elite" guy though.
Depending on how we finish at corner I won't be surprised at all to see Eddie Jackson and Cyrus Jones get looks at safety in the spring and also wouldn't be shocked to see a guy like Alvin Kamara or Cam Sims be approached with the idea of playing safety. You can't head into a season in the SEC with two scholarship players at safety. Something will have to be done, either a position change or we will have to take a flier on a guy this year
