Talked with a scout that isn't an Alabama fan/biased and he said Alabama and Auburn potentially backed off due to issues other than basketball. I don't know what that means or what type people Walton has surrounded himself with in the Montgomery area, but that's something to also consider.

I'll be honest, I'm willing to take a kid who is a bonafide lights out shooter (and will be in college) at this point over a better all around prospect.
We desperately need 1 or 2 of those guys on our roster at all times.
Also, have no idea if Forbes is that type of guy.

I know it has been covered in the previous pages, but when are we supposed to know whether Kira is reclassifying. I think it was mentioned in August, but not sure if it was early or late or just sometime in August.

I think it was mentioned before in an article that we may hear something early August. But I guess if he’s gonna go 2018 he could just announce and enroll around December like Wiley did

But we're now after Forbes last AAU season, and he still only has two P6 offers. I'm happy to have him if the coaches want him, but in a class with three top 100 in-state prospects, I'm not going to get very excited about a player whose third best offer is Murray State.
Doesn't help that there's no film out there, so all I have to judge him on are tweets that say he can shoot lights out and stats that he doesn't.

And every major recruiting site having him as a 4-star should count for something, one of which has him as high as 70th. I'm not saying you should parade through the streets naked, but there's no need to kill a good vibe.

I for one am happy about this i don't know how any Bama fan would be upset. A 6'5 guy who can shoot. Too 100 guy and some of y'all worried about Walton lol. Avery recruiting wings who can shoot excites me.

Yeah I'm not going to say that this is a huge commitment or anything, but it's not like we are that far removed from the days of talking ourselves into Carl Engstrom, Moussa Gueye, or Charles Hankerson being a hidden gem. If we sign 3-4 top ~100 recruits every year we will be in good shape.

Dude I literally YouTubed his name five min after he committed and found film... If he is rated between 70-120 on every site it's safe to say that someone who knows the game has saw him play.

This is huge imo. Last year's class wasn't great but if we get Kira along with these guys Avery is proving that Sextons class wasn't just a splash. That he is a nice recruiter.
