Even if they did that, they wouldn't have any real cap space to add new talent anyways. That's how shitty the Cavs position is
More importantly though, they won't because they are setting themselves up for a rebuild to compete in 2020+. They are about to 76ers this bitch

Great points... Hill is overpaid, however, at least he contributes quite a bit. It's the other 2 (Clarkson and Smith) that are totally worthless..... If they could just dump them

Great competitors usually carry a certain amount of personal pride. Getting cut might serve Kira and Christian to improve, driving their game forward.

That's kind of harsh. He's got a reputation of being a good recruiter although this last class was pretty rough for him. It's also got to be hard for him as he wasn't able to establish as many connections as he could have at UGA given Mark Fox's unwillingness to play the AAU game. That combined with the fact that it was first year and he wasn't given any easy guys to pull in, I still believe he'll be a solid recruiter.

I think it's also a product of Pettway is lead recruiter on the guys Johnson wants most with Rosemond and Pelphrey keeping tabs on other guys to show we are interested.

Where does that reputation come from? Ogbeide is the only solid player 247 gives him credit for.
I agree with Bryant that Avery probably puts Pettway on our top targets, but other than having a connection with Tevin Mack, Ya hasn't provided anything for us yet on the recruiting trail. He didn't even get us in serious contention for any of the E1T1 guys he was supposed to be connected to last year.
