Where did you see that? Did they offer?

I think at this point it is just rumors about who they are targeting, at least that is all I have seen.

where he'd inherit a terrible roster and a dysfunctional front office/ ownership.
I'd disagree with the roster/front office
Roster - After next season, they shed all their salary problems except Hardaway (ends in 2yrs). Por3ingus and Frank Ntilikina + 2 mid to high lotto picks + salary cap space to spend in YRs 2-3-4 are a huge deal
Front Office - Current front office isn't the dumpster fire it once was + Wright could make FO changes a condition of being hired
The real reason I would avoid the Knicks is the ownership. The inconsistency and mood swings they exhibit are so extreme that I'd never feel comfortable in job security + their willingness to follow through withthe plan

If the Knicks were smart they'dtry to hire Sam Hinkie and #TrustTheProcess
Unfortunately though, there is no way Silver lets a marquee franchise in a premier market openly tank like that. The tanking would be terrible for the NBA + the Knicks on the upswing would be able to combine both draft talent AND premier FA destination

They haven't offered. It was in this hoopseen article LINK

Walton has already become a priority guy for several programs. However, a new program recently entered the picture.
“Villanova is starting to recruit me. I talked to Coach Jay Wright and they are going to start recruiting me. They’ll be watching this month,” he explained.

Cool. Was wondering if they had offered. Sounds like it might be preliminary checking out/contact.

Thanks Tom! Might have to send this up the totem pole

Everything is really quiet on Key right now. Haven’t heard anything else on him one way or another. Avery did say Giddens missed the Sexton presser and was excused. But didn’t say Key was excused. Maybe he’s thinking it over right now. Idk at this point

Auburn must be pretty desperate to go after an Alabama retread.

Well half their team has declared for the draft (even tho we know a few will come back) and they have ZERO 2018 commits/signees. They don’t have much of a choice

Auburn probably is pretty desperate,it's hard to find high quality grad transfers willing to sit on the bench for injury depth

We expect PF/C Akingbola to reclassify from '19 to '18 and he is on tract to do that.
Auburn's recruiting strategy was always to target the 2019 class though. The problem for AU was we couldn't adapt to changing roster outlook due to the FBI impact on recruiting both in terms of pitch + time to recruit (we lost 1 coach + 2 top staffers)

AU is only bringing in grad transfers for injury depth. AU can't even guarantee 10minutes to a grad transfer if everyone stays healthy

Connor Vannover committed to Cal. He just recently decomitted from Memphis I think. Bama recruited him for awhile

Trendon Watford talks about his in-home visit with Bama:
quote:
”Alabama brought in the whole staff and we had a really good talk about the whole process, the class they think they’ll be able to get when I’d be coming in and how I would fit in there. It was a lot of fun.”

Any reason he hasn't committed to ya'll already?

Hopefully we'll get commitments from Watford and Lewis this summer.
Posted on 4/12/18 at 5:57 pm to GenesChin
I think Trendon is just keeping his options open since he’s a top 10 player. I guess he doesn’t want to rush into a decision too quickly. But we clearly are the leader at this point

Heard Lewis is 100% ours rn as well
