Nova is just on another level. Jay Wright has figured that if they can shoot 30-40% from 3 consistently, they will kill you as you shoot 30-40% inside the arc. They get a point on you almost every possession. fricking unreal.
We hung with them as well as Meatchicken.

Honestly,Anthony Davis Kentucky is the only National title team the last 10 years I would pick to beat them.
Their 38-1 team would crush Nova though
Only because WCS can defend both guards and centers effectively

Everyone talks about teams who live and die by the 3 not being able to make it.
It seems like teams who live and die by 2-3 guys who shoot 3s fail. If all 5 players show 40%+ then you are good

The other big thing with Nova is that in games when they struggle for a half (they rarely struggle for a full game) they play great defense and keep themselves in games. They are as comfortable playing a 62-57 game as a 93-86 game.
And, also, Nova is NOT a finesse 3-point shooting team. Their offense is predicated on the typical NBA drive and kick, but what really puts their offense over the top is how everyone on their roster physically drives and finishes. They teach one on one offense knowing that because of the outside shooting they'll have one on one physical looks close to the basket.
The other big thing is they clearly teach rebounding to their style. They know that it's nearly impossible to get clean box outs given the way teams have to scramble, and they have large, athletic and physical guys who attack the rim after shots and get tons of 2nd chances.
It was just all beautiful to watch.

It’s also beautiful to watch Nova penetrate the lane then dribble through it to draw the big guys out of the lane and out of position then pass it to someone else to slam it down. And if you don’t follow the dribbler out of the lane, he’ll just stop and pop it. If you collapse in the lane they start throwing down 3’s. When the shots are falling they are truly unstoppable.

Avery didnt get too much into it because Byrne hasnt officially announced it yet but it sounds like we are gonna split our home games between Huntsville and Bham. I personally would like to see our midweek games in Huntsville and weekend games in Bham.

Huntsville is pretty far to be playing a significant amount of games... Would be okay with playing a handful there, but I'd like to see most in Bham.

Seems like the perfect distance to me.

That would be a big RPI booster playing that many neutral site games.

The real key is they teach their guys to tip out back to the arc where their shooters are

Cecil Hurt quoted a mock draft on twitter and said this:
Wonder if he knows something...

@EvanDaniels
Avery recruited him. Wonder if we’ll be interested again

I wouldn't hate to take him, but I would think he'd be looking at a place like UAB

Yep, and they almost do it within their motion offense. Guys clearly attack the rim in a way that times with shots and with tip outs in mind.
They're just a lot of fun to watch.
