Which is probably a tough pull to swallow when your Dad played in the NBA. But most player's kids don't become pros. Most had a very comfortable life, and never had to work hard and struggle like many players did. They grew up rich kids. And Avery isn't a physical marvel. He's a small scrappy Nola boy who beat the odds to become a pro (which is what I always respected about Avery).

I find it interesting that this poster randomly showed up right when Avery/family were mentioned in a 1400+ page thread only to criticize every person and post that had anything remotely negative to say about Avery.

Then I saw that this was his/her very first post.

Sheer coincidence or was that actually Avery's daughter doing the same exact thing she did on the internet when Avery was future endeavored?

Two things regarding the Johnson family.

Again, rumor, but it was pretty solid at the time that Avery was a class act in the negotiation to buy him out while his wife was a cast iron bitch.

Second, you'll never convince me otherwise that Jared Butler wasn't cleared by our medical staff because they were told not to clear him by someone with the authority to make that happen all for the benefit of Junior.

Can you imagine this team with Jared Butler at one of the guard spots?
