Actually UCONN just has really good season long offensive rebounding numbers. That's just something they do well.
Maryland does have super long guards though. They are built to defend a guy like Bouknight pretty well, although I think he's sort of making it easy on them at the moment by just camping out at the 3 point line.

UConn can't hit anything, shooting 28%. As off as we were today we shot 47%.

UCONN are missing more layups then we did earlier 
If they get hot they will be dangerous. We don't want that matchup. We want Maryland who struggle rebounding and have less interior presence.

The guard for UCONN is pretty good though. Didn't we want RJ Cole?

Maybe it’s just me but todays I’m happy with the win today. The guys didn’t have a good game but still found a way to win and advance.

Maryland does seem to play great defense.... UCONN don't. Maybe we do want UCONN instead?

I mean the name of the game at this point is survive and advance, but you'd just rather not do it in round 1 as a 2 seed.

At this point I'm rooting for Maryland because of Galin and because Hurley sort of annoys me.
Maybe we match up with Maryland a bit better, but I don't know that it's some gigantic thing. Maryland is a very competent team and UCONN isn't some 700 pound gorilla. Either one could beat us.
