Supposedly we have big men coming in for visits this weekend and the weekend of the LSU game. Can't say for certain but I believe we are planning for/expecting Bolden to visit us this weekend.

Alabama is playing catch up against Duke, Kansas and Kentucky for Bolden, a 6-10, 254-pound center from DeSoto (Texas) High School. But playing catch up is exactly what Alabama did against Kansas to land Terrance Ferguson and against Vanderbilt to land Braxton Key.

Based on a tweet by Braxton Key, Alabama fans are hoping Bolden, who is ranked No. 20 in the 247Sports Composite, will visit this weekend. 247Sports has not been able to confirm a visit by Bolden to either Alabama or Oklahoma at this point, however.

Regardless, if Alabama was able to secure a commitment from Bolden, its 2016 recruiting class would jump from No. 5 in the current 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings to No. 3 according to the Class Calculator.

Just checked. Oklahoma is operating under the assumption that he is showing up there.

That's what Andrew Slater said on Duke's site

You may be right but as far as I know (i'm not an Alabama basketball history buff) AM is the highest drafted player out of Alabama ever.

When I first read that tweet, I thought someone was using some old-school shade on Auburn.

Even if we aren't getting all of these top players, it's awesome that we can get them in for a visit. Bodes well for the future if we can start generating success on the court.

Just saw Avery Johnson at Nick at Noon. He talked about recruiting. Said "I can't say names, but if you have been keeping up with recruiting or if you start keeping up with recruiting then you should be very, very happy and proud of the type of players we are attracting to the University of Alabama"

I found myself in brief conversation with him beforehand and said "coach, I know you can't really talk about it but there are rumors we are going to have some pretty big time recruits in town this weekend". He smiled big and said "We'll see now won't we". Then he walked off.

No telling. Could he just not want attention ? Misdirection, and denial ? Who knows, we do need a good big man though, havent a good one lately.

Maybe we can get him another week.

And if not, i'm sure there is a plan in place and we will make a push for the next guy on the list.
