I don't see him getting many minutes next year, but Garrett also could play some stretch four.

Those three inside guys and Hale (since he will probably be playing a lot at the 4) are going to be the key to how well this team preforms. We desperately need some kind of rebounding presence. This coaching staff really needs to put an emphasis on hitting the boards. And hopefully, Taylor's offensive post game has improved, and Kessens turns out to be everything we expect him to be.

It's gonna be weird heading into a season with a full roster and having no idea how our rotations will look and how the minutes will be divided.

Is Donta Hall going to start playing AAU again? It seems like he's making the same mistake Taylor did. I knows he's content that he's committed to us, but he needs more experience of going against the top post players in the country. He's not getting that practice at Luverne.

Are we in it for any big men late in this class, after Jacobs's departure?

Yep but I think he's more of a 3 and not sure how many minutes he'll be ready to play 1st year. One injury in the frontcourt and he'll have to play though. As it is, I'm guessing Hale or Kessens will have to play some out of position at 5 and Cooper will have to play some 4.

at least we'll have 12 schollies on the team ... getting closer to that 13 number ... and we're not quite as guard heavy, though not by much ...

We're extremely guard heavy. At least some of them should be able to actually shoot the ball.

Our season will hang on how much Taylor improves on the offensive side in the paint. It would also be nice if Retin developed some type of a scoring presence other than a layup. the kid is a freak athlete but can't shoot for shite. Same can be said for Cooper. How much do you guys expect out of the two transfers on both sides of the court?

What I think our season hangs on is Kessens and Jimmie just staying healthy. What I think we need from Jimmie the most though is for him to improve his rebounding, which probably means putting 10-20 more lbs on in the off-season. Offensively he's already pretty solid when he gets touches, but now that we have all these shooters (which should mean more 3pt attempts) we're going to need him to get some of those misses.

Retin and Coop are easily the biggest 2 x-factors on the team. Either player is a very strong candidate to lead the team in scoring, and both are very strong candidates for getting lost in the rotation (less likely for Coop with no post depth). Retin has the athleticism and work ethic, but he's got to learn how to play under control. Coop has all the tools, but something just hasn't clicked upstairs.

I keep hearing great things about Tarrant from people close to the program. After a scrimmage during Worrell's visit he said that Tarrant was really good and was the guy who stood out to him. Some people that have seen Kessens play think there is pro potential there, but I just hope he can give us some serviceable minutes as we know he's going to have to play a lot of them.

There's just so much unknown about this team that it's kind of hard to predict what will happen. Optimistic people could see a very strong top 25 squad, and pessimistic people could see another NIT team in the making. Can't say I could give a good argument against either of those scenarios.

One thing is for sure...we should be much better at 3s.

After this next season? Coop, Levi, and Varidel will be gone. That's it outside of any transfers and early leavers.

I'll never understand why kids set announcement dates before they know where they're going. Especially when it's set months in advance.

Yeah it doesn't make sense unless he's sure he knows where he's going. I hope he'll come back to Tuscaloosa this summer.
