I hope beating UT on Friday would be good enough to get in. It won't be though, will it?

Probably not. We needed to catch UK or Mizzou IMO. We don't match up well with UTk. Stokes is going to have another 20-20 type game if (when) Gueye gets into foul trouble.

We played them tough both games. I think we are a lot more likely to beat them than we would have been against Mizzou.

I actually don't mind how we matchup against UT. I definitely don't like how we matchup with Mizzou.

We have to beat UF to get in, though. No way 5 SEC teams get a bid and without the UF win, I don't see how they'd take us over UK or UT.

I mostly say that we would have had a better chance against Mizzou just because they have been an absolute joke away from home. Not even competitive half the time. It also would have been a legit quality win instead of another 51-100 type win like UTk would be. We needed to get UK or Mizzou to even have a chance to get in. Beating Tennessee doesn't even do us any good.

Lunardi has UT as the last team in, OM as the 3rd team out, and us at the 4th team out.

I think I really like where we've ended up as the fourth seed. One thing we've talked about here recently is a real lack of opportunities we've had against top teams. With this draw, we'll get two shots at marquee wins on a neutral court. I think with where we stand on the bubble, we have to beat Florida to have any shot at an at large. On the other side of the bracket we may not have had that chance. We've wanted opportunities for big wins, and they've all come on our opponents home floor. Now we have big games ahead of us on a neutral floor, and for a desperate bubble team, that's all you can ask for.

Conference tournaments have gone our way thus far. No bid stealers as of yet.

This is by far the best video of Trevor's Buzzer Beater. Shows all the different angles and is perfected with Chris Stewart's call of it. "Bomb! Bomb! Bomb! Bomb!"

BTW did anyone hear if Gueye was hurt at all? I don't think I remember him playing the last 19 minutes and I'm not sure what other reason Grant would have for having Jacobs in for that last play over him.

Alabama is now Palm's 3rd team out now. Guess we aren't completely out like he thought before the Ole Miss loss

Also saw this...

@jppalmCBS: could, but as Bama fans well know, head-to-head not decisive RT @MattDover: a Bama win over UT on Fri change things for either/both teams?

This really is encouraging. Palm was our biggest doubter for making the tournament even with an Ole Miss win and 2 tournament wins. I didn't think there was even a slight chance we'd get in without a UF win until now.

Don't get your hopes up, we won't get in without at least two wins next week

On top of obviously beating UT, we need NC State to beat Virginia, Oklahoma State to beat Baylor, Oklahoma to beat Iowa State, Richmond/St. Louis to beat Charlotte, and George Washington/Temple to beat UMASS. That'd be a good start for us.
