about 3 weeks ago i stopped rearranging my schedule to make sure I was in front of the TV to watch a game. Tired of the same o same o Chit. I have found that life goes on but now I don't stay mad and my blood pressure does not spike. AG has a perception problem and does not relate well to the fans that want to support Bama BB. He does little that I can see to promote Bama BB

I don't disagree. I'll just say that it's sad that the head basketball coach at a school like Alabama, with a fanbase like Alabama's, has to "promote" his program. That said, if some "fans" of Alabama want to be completely left in the dark about other sports and follow the courting of 16 year old kids year round, then no amount of "promotion" will change their minds.

Let's discuss best case scenarios for us SEC seeding wise. If we beat Georgia, UK splits their next two games, and Mizzou/Ole Miss both lose this weekend, that means we are the 2 seed and Kentucky is the 3 seed right? I think that'd be best for us.

UK will split, Bama wins tiebreaker with them
Loses tiebreaker with both Mizzou and OM. I have a feeling one of those two will win, which will put Bama at 3.
Best case scenario, second seed with fourth seed being the worst case. So a double bye is a basically a lock.
Getting second or third seed is critical. If UM and Mizzou both win on the road Bama can't do any better than 4 seed. One of them lose and Bama is locked into 2 or 3 seed.
This all assumes Bama wins.
I don't like this tournament format, the four team double bye is strange. Gives the bubble teams less opportunity for an extra "easy" win.

Yea, we need Kentucky to lose at least one of their two and Mizzou to lose at Tenn and Ole Miss to lose at LSU to get the #2 seed. That's a lot that needs to go our way, but frankly I'm not sure any of those teams will be favored in their games this weekend. That all assumes we beat UGA too obviously. The #2 or #3 seed is teh best case scenario for us, but if we get into a tie with more of those teams than just UK we won't win those tie breaks. With a win against UGA, we can finish 2 through 5. With a loss we could drop further depending on tiebreaks.

I just hope we get a 2 or 3 seed and Mizzou gets the 4th seed. I like our chances of at least making it to the SECT Championship that way.

Yep. Our first game against UT or Arkansas will be a big enough test, but I don't think we'd have a shot against Mizzou. I really hope we can draw UK.

Assuming we beat Georgia, we'd get the 2 seed and UK would be the 3 even if they lost both of their games and Mizzou/Ole Miss lost? If that's the case, hopefully Georgia will beat UK tonight and take them out of the bubble talks.

I think that's accurate. I want Georgia to win tonight no matter what

Georgia, Butler, and FSU winning would be good for Bama.
I don't know why I keep convincing myself we have a chance.

No idea.
All UK and OM losing would do is move us from 3rd or 4th out to 1st or 2nd out. I think we probably deserve to make it in more than OM, but I don't see either team making it. Take out the Auburn loss and I think we are probably in line for a play in game right now.

I'm done thinking we have a chance. Blowout win over Villanova and win against Kentucky with Noel is nice, but there's nothing else.
And we know the losses
And we know the losses

I don't either, we literally have no shot when you start thinking about upsets in conference tournaments too. Plus, Lunardi is the only one seemingly seriously considering us. Most seem to think we're done. I guess the only reason for hope is that this is the most pathetic compilation of bubble teams ever. Some deserve it even less than we do. If we make a deep run next week, perhaps Selection Sunday will have some suspense.

3 for 3 at the half with Georgia, FSU and Butler all winning

FSU has choked hard. Down 1 with 10 seconds left.

Looks like all three bubble teams are going down

So Alabama, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Mizzou are all 11-6 going into this weekend. We're going to focus hypotheticals only assuming that we beat Georgia at home. That makes us 12-6.
If Mizzou loses at Tennessee and Ole Miss loses at LSU then we'll be the two seed.
If any two of those other three teams lose, we'll either be 2 or 3. The difference between being two or three is minimal, we don't want to fall to 4 or 5.
If everybody wins, we drop to five.
If two of those other three win, I'm almost positive we finish third in any three way tiebreak leaving us with the fourth seed.
So, let's beat UGA and cheer for Florida
LSU
and Tennessee
