Kind of a tricky situation we are in now. I think we could handle a loss against Arkansas, but if we lose that one we will have lost 2 in a row and as y'all know our losing streaks rarely stop at 2. We won't win against UF, but a win against OM is within the realm of possibility. If we beat OM, we can afford to lose to one of the shittier teams in the SEC IMO.

Shhhhhhhh....the other teams can't know our offensive gameplan...

I would have had Lacey in the corner and Releford drive towards his side and force Lacey's defender to make a choice to help or stay.
Releford in bounds to Steele, Lacey sets up a screen and peels off as Steele hands the ball off to Releford, who either sucks the D in and kicks out to Lacey or doesn't suck the D in and gets a decent shot/gets fouled. No idea if that would work, but it looked good in my head.
Drawing up a play in basketball really isn't THAT complicated. Some guys are better/more creative at it than others, but every coach should be able to come up with something more than an iso play in a last second scenario.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Steele was in there in the first place. I love Steele, but he is too limited on offense. I'd rather have a Releford, Lacey, Randolph, Cooper, and Pollard lineup in that situation. All of those guards can score from different locations and Randolph and Cooper are our two best rebounders, while Pollard is in there for put-backs.
Part of the trickiness of drawing up a last second play though, is trying to guess the defense they come out with. That is usually why most coaches just give the ball to their clutch shot-maker or the hot hand and rely on them to pull it out.

Grant said the key to facing Arkansas, the Crimson Tide's Thursday night opponent, will be handling the Hogs' pressure defense.
"It's more about understanding what we've go to do in terms of when to attack, how to attack, when to be patient and run offense," Grant said. "The more skilled guys you have certainly helps, but it comes down to making quality decisions."
Grant was also asked about pending NCAA rule changes that would allow unlimited texting.
"I text, but that is about it," Grant said. "I am pretty archaic. Young people today are very adept at communicating on social media so to build relationships, you have to do that. Our (assistant) coaches are good at that, but I am a little behind
That's why they land so many studs....oh wait

Wheres the damned like button!?!?!?
Seriously though, I thought Cecil confirmed his eligibility of a medical RS right after they announced he was out for the season. Is there some sort of approval process or something?

The good thing about playing Arkansas' press is they tend to give up a lot of transition baskets. We may top 60 points tomorrow night.

The apocalypse is at hand. Nick Jacobs just went to his right.

That game was sloppy as hell, but I'll take the W.

I cant even be happy about this shite. Im about to be on the fire Anthony Grant bandwagon. I dont know why the hell Jacobs was in at the end of the game or Steele. Cooper should be in just as much as a starter IMO. I kind of see why Tony Mitchell would be pissed playing with these guys. Cant catch the ball. Play scary as hell. We need to get some guys who get fired up and dont smile all the time.

One positive from tonights game is that A. Hubbard was sitting behind the bench.

Rodney Cooper (0 pts, 16 mins.) not injured per UA coach Grant. "It was a coach's decision. We were getting good play from some other guys."

He should have kept him in over Pollard. I still think Pollard can eventually translate into a stud, but now he is almost useless. The kid is extremely shy (voted "most shy" in the 2012 class by ESPN) and those kids usually take a lot longer to adjust to playing collegiate ball.
Seriously though you should see some of his interviews. It is so awkward it's painful to watch. It reminds me of Ricky Bobby's first interview.
