Up 12-5 now. We'll play Ga Southern first. Too bad, I only wanted to have to beat Kennesaw once. They've got more pitching depth and since they pulled their #2 after only one out tonight, he'll be waiting for us Monday (if not tomorrow night). Oh well, let's do the thing

Any chance any of our games over the next two days are on ESPN2 or the U?

I doubt either one today is. Probably the only way tomorrow would be is if there aren't any more games. There are just bigger brand name match ups to put on TV than GSU or KSU.

Should be on the U. Only 2 games start at 11 EST, ours is one of them.

Hopefully so. Should be an interesting day. If our pitchers can throw the ball over the plate I like our chances. If they string some hits together so be it, just can't give them a bunch of free passes. Make them earn it. Bramblett is our last clear starter, so if he could give us 6 or 7 innings that'd be huge. GSU can rake though.

Offensively, hopefully we'll see that patient, line drive up the middle approach we saw yesterday instead of the try to yank everything over the wall approach from Friday. I feel like we reverted back to that a little but after we scored some runs and got confident late yesterday. These guys don't have the pitching depth so long as we make them work.

It's scheduled to be on the U but looks like they've got E60 running right now.

He's lasted 3.1 innings or less in four of his five starts. I'm not gonna be a broken record, but it's all going to be about how we approach it. A lot of pitchers can look good if hitters are just trying to pull everything, first pitch breaking balls included, over the wall

This dude's fastball is 83mph according to the radar on ESPN, just has a little sink to it that surely we'll adjust to. He just throws a lot of junk. Easy to see why he gets chased the second time thru the order a lot. We'll see if our guys make the adjustment and start taking him the other way. Dude works the outside corner consistently, it shouldn't be hard. 1-2-3 in the second though. He's falling behind everybody 2-0, instead of making him work back we try to crush the first strike we see.

isn't there something lacking with our fundamentals in the hitting process? I know we have it in the fielding because it is obvious from where I sit.

It's still early but Bramblett is looking really good so far.

Quick work by Bramblett in the third. 1-2-3 and Ks two. Very sharp so far.

It's not really fundamentals as much as it is the philosophy. We're aggressive to a fault and don't really try to work the count at all. This dude is a freshman struggling with command but we want to bail him out repeatedly. Same thing we've done all year. I know it's the players that are doing it, but it's really not their fault. If they were told to do something differently, they would.
