one out with bases loaded and we hit a weak pop up that does not even let the runner at third come home. Poor execution. and mikey white taps out weakly to SS who throws him out at first. Crap. I am fixing to find a damn softball game over this weak sauce.

RF threw behind the runner allowing the runner from first to score instead of being held at third if the throw went home. Another stupid arse fundamental faux paus..I am outta here and trust our bats come alive cuz the fielding is sucking hind tits. Get me out of here Percy

Anybody who went to Hoover today, should get their money back after this debacle.

Kentucky wins 7-1. Alabama is eliminated. We will find out which regional we will limp into on Monday.

We didn't want to win or we would have pitched our ace on 5 days rest.

This tourney means nothing in all actuality.

Glad we pitched the freshman and hoped for the best.

Are you serious? "We didn't want to win?" I guess we have not wanted to win at all in the last month, based on the way we have played.

Speaking solely on the choice of pitchers for today.

The last 5 games before today we gave up 2-1-9-2-1.

That is with our 3rd pitcher being absent for various reasons.

I like the way oir pitching has been going the last two weekends.

Now we have to score runs.

We were never going to win the tourney on this side of the bracket, so I am glad we pitched the freshman and rested our top dogs.

I didn't want us to win and have to pitch our weary pitchers.

JMO.

Maybe Mitch forgot it was single elimination. Wouldn't put it past him.
I'd like for all the people who are glorifying the extra rest that we are about to get to remember 2010, where we made the SECT championship game and carried that momentum into the tournament and ended up just one out away from Omaha.

That's a perfect example of why getting deep into the conference tournament is vital. That 2010 season is still Gaspard's only good season.

I say fire him along with AG. We are a lousy hitting team and I cant recall if we have any batters over 300. if we have any there cant be more then one or two. And someone please explain why a former catcher is our pitching coach. I asked a few pages back and don't recall an answer.

O and the sarcasm button was hit on the firing part.

Mikey White, Austin Smith, Wade Wass, and Ben Moore are all hitting above 300. We normally get hits but can't get the big hit when we need it. Yesterday we were only outhit 9-8 ,but we walked 7 and hit 2 batters.

True, and us not scoring runs is why, imo, the pitchers were trying to be too perfect and hit the corners, thereby walking way to many batters and getting in trouble. Get a lead and go after hitters.

It's hard as a pitcher when you know giving up 3 runs probably beats you, what have we lost 7 or 8 by 2-1 scores and a few 1-0 and 2-0 scores.

The SEC pitchers and managers all know our hitters, ( we should still hit better ) but hopefully we can break out of our hitting slump.

Extra practice hopefully helps.

Our approach is the biggest issue IMO. Gaspard is still managing like it is the 1990s. Gorilla ball is dead.

Yea, we have to get guys that have good eyes and make the pitchers throw a lot of balls every inning.

I got a sneaky felling we are going to do ok in the NCAA tourney this year, but we have ti win game one, which is why I am glad our pitchers got some rest.

We have to break out of this slump sometime I hope.

why the notion of rest. MLB pitchers pitch every 5th day and for a lot longer season and a lot more games. Does not seem to be a problem at the next level. And we think pitching more than once a week for a starter is killing them..I have a hard time grappling with this concept. If all of our starters had gone the MLB route they would be pitching every 5th day right now in the minor leagues

I guess I would prefer ULL. Though they took 2 of 3 from us earlier
