It'll be interesting to see how Turnbull pitches with a lot of offensive support. He's only gotten it once in conference play (against Ole Miss) and that's the one game all year he's struggled

That homerun was Haynie's first hit since coming back from the concussion.

Two out walk is all UT gets, on to the 6th with the Tide up 8-0.

Tennessee's reliever making quick work of us so far. They've got a good bullpen, hopefully they'll at least burn him for the rest of the weekend tonight. Cucjen pinch hit for Smith to start the 7th. Hopefully Smith's wrist won't swell up or anything after his first game action and he'll be good to go tomorrow. 8-1 B7.

Walk and a HBP by Turnbull with one out in the bottom of the 7th.

RBI double scores a run and puts runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out. End of the night for Turnbull. Guilbeau on to pitch.

Groundout to the mound for out number two, but an infield hit scores another run for UT. 8-3, runners on the corners with two outs.

Another base hit, 8-4 and runners on 1st and 2nd

Flyout ends the inning, the Vols strand two but score three to cut it to 8-4. I say we should score some more runs I'd imagine Castillo or Burrows will come in for the 8th, can't screw around with this lead and game tonight.

Eh, possibly. He hadn't thrown a ton of pitches. With the lead at the time, I don't mind him having a chance to work out of it. Glad we pulled him after one hit though.

Haynie, White, and Salem go down in order in the 8th. Tennessee's reliever has thrown 3.1 innings since coming on in the 5th and the only man to reach was a hit batter. He's at 45 pitches, hopefully we'll see somebody else in the 9th.

Mitch Greer is on to pitch the 8th... Allow me to be on the record of first-guessing that one.

ETA: Leadoff double. Fly to center for out #1, runner moves to 3rd. Walk puts runners on the corners with one out. Greer staying in. Another walk, they're loaded with one out. Tying run at the plate.

And now Burrows coming into the game. As I suggested, if he's coming in now he should've been in to start the inning instead of somebody with basically no SEC experience this year.

Sac fly for out number two, run scores making it 8-5 and runners at first and second. Strikeout ends the inning. Great job by Burrows to get out of an inherited mess. 8-5 going to the 9th. 3-4-5 due up for Alabama.

I can't watch but it always seems weird when a team gets up big and then the home team starts getting 2 or 3 walks every inning.

An add choice of pitchers to start that 8th inning, as you might have noticed from my subtle frustration That inning could've made things even more interesting real fast, Burrows did a tremendous job shutting it down.

Same UT reliever on for the 9th. He's had our number.

Good job by Burrow, we need to get a run here for insurance.

Wass reached wit one out, Webb pinch ran and attempted to steal but UT nails him on a pitch out. Groundout ends the inning. Hopefully that reliever is done for the weekend after 4.1 innings tonight No hits, only men to reach were a HBP and an error.

3-pitch strikeout begins the inning.

Groundout to 1st for out #2.

Alabama wins it 8-5!

Burrows gets another strikeout for the final out. Kinda sucks we had to use Burrows for 5 outs after being up 8-0, but I'll take it. I'd be surprised if he's available tomorrow after getting 5 outs on Wednesday too. Castillo might have to save the victory for us tomorrow.
