Burrows with a perfect ninth, Alabama wins 6-4 and takes the series. Massive, massive win tonight and a gritty effort late after a rough day. Bottom line, we won the series which is what we set out to do. Need to play better, but it's impressive to win a conference road series playing poorly. Roll Tide

Oh absolutely. We've done a really good job of taking care of business and winning those games lately. That's a big part of our success and is crucial to staying in the top 15-20 of the RPI. Eicholtz has been lights out in those games, but seeing how we've transitioned him more to the bullpen for SEC play the burden will fall on Tucker Hawley. Those are some pretty decent teams by midweek competition standards too.

Yea I was more saying we just can't afford to lose two of three against Auburn, which is why I said the main thing is to win the series. Although I do think it's too early to say that we "have" to sweep them to be in contention to host a regional. As long as we take the series, we'll still be right in the thick of it. The closing stretch is what will make or break it. After Tennessee's series win over Vandy, our last five series will be against top 25 teams. That's where our postseason fate will be determined.
