Horrible game.You couldn't tell this Bama team from the others we have had for the past few years. We are a work in progress,it will take maybe half the season before we actually play great basketball. We still have no proven scorers or ball handlers.

I mean, Rhode Island is a legitimate borderline Top 25 team with wins over Providence and Seton Hall. It's a dang good team. That wasn't Southern Miss or ULM we beat.
Sure we had some areas of concern, but we beat them without our lottery pick PG for most of the game and led by 8+ for almost the entire 2nd half until the end.

They sort of played like ULM though. I mean that was about as bad of a game as they'll probably play all year.

No proven scorers? You're high man... Sexton is a scorer smh, rough last couple of games for him but he came up big late. We dominated a really good team on the glass. These kids screw up but they fight, gotta be patient with the youth on this team. We've beaten 3 veteran teams already and rhode island is gonna be a team no one wants to see in march

For better or worse, Bama has been playing a number of mid to upper level quality OOC games with Arizona to go.
I hope this pays off come SEC season.

I think maybe our defense had a little to do with them playing bad. I mean Seton hall and Providence are tourney teams and uri beat them both. Give our kids credit

Just got home from the game. I’ve been holding out hope on Dazon as he has been getting bashed here the past couple games. But tonight, he was just awful. And Avery never takes him out. Maybe that will change when Key comes back, but I’m sick of watching him turn it over constantly. I’m not sure what he brings to the table.

Dazon brings plenty to the table, just is careless with ball. Stuffs the stat sheet , 14 rebs tonight. As long as he isn't a primary ball handler he does well

Year 3 is going to tell us the real deal about Avery. Is he just a recruiter? Not until the year is over will we better understand.
