Tucker is a no brainer IMO. Experienced dude, stout blocker, decent hands, can fill a role immediately and is off the 85 limit in less than a year. Win, win.

There is no issue
Just saying I would have rather used a scholly on some other position of need if possible . JMO. Everybody has one

Tucker does count against the 25 signings and 25 initial counters limits.
ETA: It's true. Downvoting won't change that.

That’s my understanding too. Usually I would be upset with counting against the 25 with only one year of eligibility but it seems like our current concerns may be more related to the 85. If that trend continues (and I’d like it to because that means kids are staying) then giving a one year may not be that big of a loss.
Staff definitely seemed to make a grad transfer TE a priority.

I could have sworn I saw an article either on BOL or elsewhere that said he would only count against the 85 limit. I can assure you I didn't just pull it out of my arse. I'll link if I can find it.
ETA: I'm not the one down voting either.

Update on my new puppy.
He fell in the pool the first time he set foot in the backyard.
He's okay though. Super chill and already humping legs at 7 weeks old.

If that doesn’t seal the deal, then that kid was never coming

Me too, watch it every Christmas

Had much rather have him as a HS kid than grad transfer JMO. Has potential

Well I wouldn’t say Tucker is a for sure thing but I think Forristall , Tennison and Billingsley all bring something different to the table until we sign an elite TE
So I read those two and thought you were talking specifically about TE position.
I missed the following, makes sense now........

Just felt like we could wait til next year with what we have coming back. Much rather have a DL or WR with 4 years of eligibility over a 1year TE is all I was saying

Bear, I’m defending your right to post on the tiger rant in the “anyone feel like” thread

Baker is adamant he will qualify so if his grades convince Saban and Co. that will, then he will sign with us.
Where you seent dis, BOL?

Hypothetical question, Surge. 1 spot left, who would you want us to take Baker or Burroughs? If we had to pick between them
Posted on 1/30/20 at 9:05 pm to Cobrasize
Assuming we get Mac Jackson, I'd take Baker.
ETA: I think we'll sign Baker, Jackson and Rakestraw on NSD. Jayson Jones signs with Oregon. Burroughs doesn't get an NLI to sign; has to wait until he qualifies.
