He will be a beast in college.
If he get his act together and does what he needs to do to play which he has proven is no guarantee.
Still I’m sure it will be ok. If Jimbo proved anything at FSU it is he runs a tight ship
Honestly though I’m done. The kid has all the talent in the world and I hope he pulls it together and never beats Bama.

I hope for the best with the guy, but it wouldn’t shock me if he never played a down at a major university. He has talent, but he really needs to get it together. For his sake, I hope he can mature and start making better decisions

Maybe he has Le'Veon Bell & Antonio Brown fatheads in his bedroom.

That would explain a lot

Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at SMU or some place like that. Kid has major issues and I hope he gets the help and mentoring he needs.

Yeah, or Houston (his hometown)

I couldn’t imagine Houston’s locker room with all the misfit toys they take in

It appears Darnell Washington is going to lose his 5th star on Rivals
Adam Gorney disagrees with Farrell, but as we all know, Farrell has final say when it comes to Rivals' rankings.

2. Darnell Washington should keep his fifth star.
Farrell’s take: FICTION. Almost everyone on our staff has seen Darnell Washington in person. I don’t think he’s a five-star after scouting him for a week at Under Armour. He’s a massive player and a superior physical specimen, but as a tight end he turns a bit too slow and he’s heavy-footed.
Some of that is expected from a 6-foot-7, 260 pounder and the same could have been said about Rob Gronkowski coming out of high school as well. But there is too high of a boom-or-bust factor with Washington to keep him as a five-star. We will see what everyone else thinks as we finalize our 2020 rankings.
Gorney’s take: FACT. Sometimes, we overthink these things and get things wrong that are blatantly obvious right in front of us. And this is a perfect example of that. Turns too slowly? Heavy-footed? He’s a teenager who is one of the best physical specimens to come through our rankings in many years and he should have a major impact on the college level.
If Georgia throws to the tight end for once, Washington should be the No. 1 target all the way down the field and especially in the red zone. We can talk about slow feet and turning like a battleship, but what about excellent hands, catch radius and freakish size? In my book, kids like Washington don’t come around often and if he can get a little more athletic, then he could be really special. He’s a five-star.

So with Evans signing an LOI and now being released from it by UGA, does that still count against their numbers for this cycle or do they immediately get that scholarship back to reuse in a couple of week?

If he's already attempted and failed to get academic clearance from the NCAA UGA won't get the spot back. Otherwise, if Evans requests a release from the NLI and UGA grants it, I don't think that voided NLI would still count toward UGA's signings limit.

Dude doesn't know how to use his size at all. His highlights in the allstar practices and games paints him exactly how I saw him.
Athletic player playing TE. He isn't a TE who happens to be athletic.

Rumor on the LSURb going around that Evans made an 11 on the ACT.

Looks like he could be a really good safety or a very solid receiver. Hope we stick him at one position and let him develop.

That might be better than a lot of the fans on that board could score.

I don't really think he's even that athletic. If he were 6'4" instead of 6'7" he'd be a 3* going to Utah or Texas Tech. Obviously that's a big if considering you can't teach a guy to be tall and have long arms, but just in terms of actual football performance he has never impressed me. At least as a 5*. I think he can be taught how to correctly post up for jump balls and become a serious redzone threat.
