Roll Tide. They might as well move SFA to Tuscaloosa at this point.

We are going to take a big WR class, so I'd be happy to add 2 or 3 of those guys to what we have and call it a day. Good to see that Saban adding Huff, Wiggins, and Sal negated the hit of losing Locks and Gattis with DMV recruiting. At this point I feel like we can get pretty much anyone we want out of St. Frances.

LINK ]New Bama WR pledge one of the best his HS coach has seen (BOL | embedded video)

quote:

St. Frances Academy head coach Henry Russell has seen his fair share of talent pass through the Panthers program in the last few years. On Saturday, four-star receiver LINK ]Traeshon Holden committed to play for the Crimson Tide.

“I’m really excited about Traeshon,” Russell told BamaOnLine. “He’s a very, very talented young man. He’s worked really hard for what he’s achieved. I’ve seen him grow tremendously as a person, as a student and as a player over the last two years or so heading into his senior year.

"He’s got to be one of the best wide receivers I’ve coached, one of the top ones I’ve seen in high school. He’s a very special kid. Real good size, very athletic, great body control, great hands, plays with swagger, and a very high football IQ. He’s a great player and great kid.”

It’s not just Holden that Alabama appeals to at St. Frances. Nick Saban and staff have landed three elite caliber players from the Baltimore powerhouse in five-star edge rusher Eyabi Anoma, four-star linebacker Shane Lee and four-star offensive lineman Darrian Dalcourt. The Tide also holds a commitment from Holden’s teammate in five-star defensive end Chris Braswell.

“It’s pretty wild,” Russell said of the growing trend of St. Frances players choosing Alabama. “I think it’s a testament to our kids and what they strive for and what Alabama has been — the best. People know that they work hard and if you want to be the best they say go to Alabama.

"Our kids have worked really hard and played with a chip on their shoulder and they’ve seen what can happen at Alabama, both football-wise and what Alabama does off the field as well. It’s been a really good fit. We got a lot of kids going a lot of places, but there are certainly a lot of kids at Alabama.”

Jalen Rivers and Chantz Williams (teammates who say they're a "package deal") were CBd to Florida by UF mod Luke Stampini after visiting there yesterday.

Carson Beck CBd to UGA by Steve Wiltfong and John Garcia after his 3rd visit there yesterday.

Mikhail Sherman also visited UGA yesterday and Wiltfong changed his CB from tOSU to Foggy.

Eta: We need to get Sherman and his teammate Rakim Jarrett back on campus for a visit. They're from the same HS as Keilan Robinson, Wash-DC powerhouse St. John's.

Having a pipeline to St. Frances is definitely a great thing to have, the Maryland state rankings are LITTERED with players from there.

So did I. But besides Fromm, UGA's QB room is pretty weak. It's easy for UGA to sell him on an easy competition opportunity to be their starting QB in 2020, if Fromm enters the NFL draft. Worst case, he could be starting by his 2nd year.

LINK ]Five-star APB Chris Tyree talks Alabama visit (BamaOnLine-VIP)

5-star APB Chris Tyree 5-9/178 VA hudl

“The visit was great. You hear so many things about Alabama, I was just glad to get there and see for myself. Facilities are top-notch, stadium is huge, and staff is awesome. Everyone's open and friendly, it has a good family atmosphere.”

He watched film with Sark on how he'd fit in the offense, met with Saban and likes Huff a lot. "I’m hoping to make a visit to see practice and then come back on an official to see a game.” Notre Dame, Penn State and Oklahoma are in the mix.

Chris Tyree CBd to Notre Dame today by ND mod Tom Loy: "Chris Tyree will be back at Notre Dame on March 23... first visited late in 2018 and loved it. He then locked in an official to Notre Dame for June 21... another visit between both trips only helps Notre Dame’s chances..."

Hank: "I think it’s a tight race with Bama and Notre Dame right now. I actually feel good about Bama coming out of this visit but ND side does as well. Tyree should be on both campuses twice more. I think this one will come down to OVs. Having Huff is a huge plus for Bama."

Wiltfong CBd Tyree to Foggy: "After talking to a source with knowledge of the recruitment, three schools — Alabama, Notre Dame and Oklahoma — appear to be in the best position to land top-ranked APB Chris Tyree, who is also the fastest player in this 2020 recruiting class..."

Holden's coach mentioned everything but Speed as his attribute. Speed is what excites me the most about Skill players. Without it it's a crap shoot especially with big guys.Hope he is better than Kief.

Wow that's a significant victory for Smart. Don't like that at all. Beat Sabah and Mullen seemingly coming out of no where.

Carson Beck: “Georgia was my dream school since middle school when it came to football. Going into the whole recruiting process Georgia was at the No. 1 spot and this was before I received any offers. Obviously they were relatively late (to offer) but that truly didn’t mean anything to me. When I was visiting I wanted to see what their vision was for me and how I fit and one of the biggest thoughts is do they want me just as bad as I want to be there? And that was the case.” Beck also said his recruitment is now "closed" and he won't visit other schools.
