They were turned in on basketball and they backed their coach, fired the AD for not not backing the coach and dared the NCAA.. who are we going to tell.. ? The NCAA has no power anymore against teams that will lawyer up

42 was a roster filler at the last moment two years back due to we missed on ILBers. He will never start at Alabama and chances are he will never play a meaningful down as a LBer. Special teams is his gig. If you watch him he pushes and shoves after most every time he is on the field.

I don’t think we have definitely lost him. He had interest in LSU before he committed to Alabama. He has already taken his official visit to Alabama, but maybe we can get him back for an unofficial visit and remind him of our depth and coaching changes (please).
As said it before, but I just don’t see how they are going to take as many players as they seem to either be taking or think they will take. At the end of the day, we got no body but ourselves to blame if these kids want to play for someone else. We have a few weeks left before ESP, and we have an open week. So, Saban needs to get out there and work his magic.

News just keeps getting worse. Reports just broke that Helton is out at USC. Young is probably back in play.

Will they have enough time to find someone and get them in and start recruiting Young enough to flip him? Doesn't the dead period start in like 2 weeks?

I hope not but I don't know if they would have pulled the trigger on Helton if they didn't have a real good idea of who they can get and fast. Unless they're just that desperate.

I know that but there are systems we can use that dont require 2 inside backers with so many responsibilities.
Let's run a system where we only need one middle linebacker making calls and not responsible on covering split out backs and tight ends.

Looks like Meyer has been in talks with them for a couple of weeks. Logically, the QB room at USC is a bit crowded, and they picked up a 2021 QB after Young decommited. Bryce likes Sark and our QB room is wide open. It is what it is. Saban has some time to get out there and work on the class, but we need to get our house in order first.

You're right and that's why it's so frustrating. If you want a top notch DC, you hire him and let him run the best system for the talent on the roster.
