Not really. Georgia hasn't won a natty since the 80's but they've been top 2 since Kirby got there. Some guys are just good recruiters. Coach O had always been a good recruiter. He's not great at the x's and o's but he's hired well with Aranda and Brady. I mean I don't understand his recruiting process since he doesn't speak English but apparently recruits understand him.

UGA has a whole helluva lot more to offer a recruit than LSU. Athens is a much better place to live than Baton Rouge. I live in Baton Rouge and this city is by far the worst city that any SEC school is located in. Plus, UGA can pull from Atlanta and the Carolinas which probably has any many Power 5 recruits as all of Louisiana.

Coach O didn't hire Aranda. Aranda was hired by Les Miles. O did hire Brady.

Look at Coach O's defensive line recruiting. And, I say that because O is a defensive line coach. His recruiting on the defensive line has been AVERAGE. And, I know this because the guys he's wanted have went to Bama mostly. But, now all of a sudden Coach O is supposed to be this ace recruiter taking recruits from the best recruiter in college sports since John Wooden? Man stop.

So I'm a closet corndog fan because I can acknowledge they're one of the few teams that has competed with us since CNS has come to the capstone? Ok. Sorry that I don't get bent out of shape about recruiting classes when everyone knows there's very little difference between the top 5 or so classes. As long as we get our needs I'm good. I'm new here and joined hoping for some more discussion with fellow Bama fans. Maybe I should have just stuck with the boards I frequented previously.

Bosco it of time outs. 1:59 left. MD stopped short on 3rd down but a face mask gives the conversion.

Bruh I'm loose. As long as we have Young I'd rather have a bunch of 4 star commits that he can elevate. It'd be nice to have Gilbert and Jarrett etc. but having the stud QB is the crown jewel of the recruiting class.
Roll Tide

Column: Bryce Young leads Mater Dei to a 38-24 win against St. John Bosco

quote:

Bryce Young showcases himself with 256 yards passing and three touchdowns as No.1 Mater Dei defeated No.2 St. John Bosco to wrap up the Trinity League championship

By ERIC SONDHEIMER COLUMNIST OCT. 25, 2019 10:44 PM

If there were a Heisman Trophy for high school football, Santa Ana Mater Dei quarterback Bryce Young would be the runaway winner. Whether passing, running or leading, Young is performing at such a high level that there’s few defenses capable of slowing him down.

In a much-hyped matchup of unbeaten teams on Friday night before a sold-out crowd of more than 5,000 at Bellflower St. John Bosco, the Alabama-bound Young toyed with the Braves, picking and choosing how best to make them feel uncomfortable, if not miserable.

He completed his first eight passes and finished 19 of 33 for 256 yards and three touchdowns in Mater Dei’s 38-24 victory that wraps up a Trinity League championship and No. 1 seed for the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs. He also ran for two touchdowns.

With a quick release, much-improved arm strength and deceiving speed, Young has become the big difference maker who has helped separate the No. 1 Monarchs (9-0) from the No. 2 Braves (8-1). It looks good now that St. John Bosco held Young and the Monarchs to a mere 17 points in last year’s Division 1 final.

Agree but if you are a pass receiving TE and a stud wr you would have to be crazy not to want to play with this kid Bryce Young.
We still have plenty WR options and hopefully we can still find a Irv Smith type to make up for the loss of Gilbert. Ive always liked Xavier Henderson as a take so maybe he's not as solid to Clemson or Fla and we still have a shot.

Hewitt's (and Bama future DB) Malachi Moore with a game sealing pick 6 against #1 Thompson last night. You may have to scroll down a bit . . .
