Scouting report from Week 1 of high school football in California

The USC commit was phenomenal in the season opener for Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei, not only smoothly running the show but making precision passes, great decisions and generally carving up Corona (Calif.) Centennial’s defense all night long. In the debate of which quarterback is the best in California, Young won Week 1 and he was arguably the best player I watched all weekend.

Will starting 2 true freshman ILB and a negative effect on ILB recruiting?
Opposing coaches will be spinning that to recruits now. "Why go to Bama and sit for 2 or 3 years, they are set at ILB"

Actually it will help to be honest. Now opposing coaches can not talk about all those sitting on the bench not getting playing time now as well as less getting redshirted. These 2 play to their ability and they are gone in 3 years.
