Damn Saban can't call in a favor to Muhsin II and get Muhsin III to Tuscaloosa . Drake should be pushing for a flip.
Looks like Bama is out of it for Darnell Washington. Hopefully that is a good sign for Gilbert. I also hope Darnell liked that Brevin Jordan action this past weekend .
Here's to Caden Clark having a big year.

While his measurables are impressive and he has great HS stats, I'm more impressed with a 73% phone charge on a microcell network to boost range. With cell phone skills like that this kid is going places.
He looks great at tight end but something tells me this kid ends up mauling QBs before his collegiate career is over.
Honestly I think Gilbert is smart to avoid Washington , if that rumor is true. Most schools have trouble showcasing one TE. The only schools I remember showcasing two are Iowa and Stanford.
I wonder what Jahleel Billingsley has looked like? He didn't make the two deep but he may have the potential of having an Irv Smith type career.

I don't think that pic of Washington's Top-3 Instagram post was done by him.
What I've seen about Billingsley has been very positive. Just needs some S&C and coaching up. He played more as a big WR in HS. Latu is doing very well too. I think they'll both be very good and versatile TEs for us, similar to Irv and OJ. Caden Clark is more comparable to Hentges.

Maye looked fabulous in his highlights. I am no expert but the kid looks legit. throws a beautiful ball with accuracy and velocity. Don't have to worry about a QB in 2021 if he sticks.

Hank is behind. Washington’s been a silent to Dawgs for almost a month.

Was that before or after his silent commit to Tennessee? .

TennRC has as much chance of landing Washington as they did Quay Walker.

I do wonder with Washington what happened with Bama. After the UGA weekend at the end of July he was looking for a top 4 edit on twitter and I am making an assumption that Bama would have been the 4th team.
It would just be interesting to know what happened on his end or Bama's end in the last 3 or 4 weeks not to include the Tide even if he was losing interest.
Regards much respect to his ability to conserve battery life and good luck to him.

I was told by someone affliated with Bishop Gorman he sleeps with an UT checkerboard blanket signed by Jeremy Pruitt on his last visit to Knoxville. Could be bull crap but I trust my source.

Iirc, Hank CBd Washington to Bama early this summer after he visited Bama and was talking like he was pretty high on the Tide. Since Washington had plans to OV Bama in early Nov for the LSU game, he left that pick in place for the time being.
For quite a while Hank has been saying he thinks Bama and UGA are both likely to get one of Gilbert and Washington. Hank flipped his Gilbert CB from UGA to Foggy on 8/8, Kipp did the same on 8/23. Then, based on Washington's top-3 IG post, Hank flipped his pick on Washington. There was no incentive or reason for Hank to change it until now.
Kipp's job title is "UGA Insider" but he didn't CB Washington to UGA until he posted his top-3 and right after Hank flipped his. Based on what Kipp reported in his new article that I posted, it seems to me Kipp is the "insider" that's running behind with his CB picks for Gilbert and Washington.

Yeah, Kipp is behind as well. SoFl said the Dawgs basically locked Washington down at the BBQ.
As to Washington/Gilbert, I agree and I fully expect Gilbert to most likely choose Bama over UT. Vols biggest advantage is they are most likely to tell him what he wants to hear "Wide Receiver" and two of Gilberts 4-star teammates at Marietta HS are committed to Pruitt/Vols (4-star QB Harrison Bailey and 4-star OLB BJ Ojulari).
Gilbert SHOULD go to Bama and probably will. I will guess 75-Bama / 25-Tenn right now. UGA may not be totally out of the picture w/ Gilbert but they are very close to being totally out of it - do think they are a little turned off to some extent about the Wide Receiver business.

As you know, there's been a Washington Top-3 thread on the SECrb since last night. So, why did you feel a need to come to our board and post your hot take on Hank's CB flip?

not sure why it bothers you - not trolling the Bama board here. Have brought info to this board you guys didn't have and an alternative perspective on some of same recruits.

It doesn't "bother" me. And your response didn't really answer my question.

Demetric Warren CB'd Arik Gilbert to Tennessee.
Posted on 8/27/19 at 10:17 am to TideSaint
Welp at least Warren is wrong a lot . There is another really talented TE out of Canada that we made his top 7, Theo Johnson, but I rarely hear about Bama being serious contenders for him so he most likely will be the TE Alabama gets . It would stink if we missed on Gilbert and Washington but if it came down to getting an elite TE prospect or getting an elite prospect at another position I would prefer to use it on the other position anyway considering how hit or miss receiving TEs are in college. Either that or I'm protecting my emotions if Bama strikes out.
