Imagine if Bama not only lands both Roy and Guillory, but also flips Burton and Ricks.

Your Saturday mock class and these post about flipping made me want to go back and see what your mock class looked like a year ago.

Mock Class 7/6/2018

If last year is any indication we are in for a ride (as if we didn't already know that ). Battle, Banks, and Carter (all DB flips) totally changed the make up of the final class and we had a fourth flip in Christian Harris. Dalcourt and Ingraham quasi came out of no where. The committed players were solid with the only flip being Christian Williams and you hit on Sanders, Evans, and Sospher.

It got me thinking that the flips are definitely coming. We all know Saban is notorious for them we just didn't see many in 2018 because of the staff turmoil. If 2019 is any indication he is back on track. 2020 already has one flip in Drew Sanders. I'm not sure when Kennedy and Robinson decommitted from Auburn if they had the intent to commit to us at that time but they could be two more. This is going to be fun.

If this happens, which it won't unfortunately, but IF this happened.. talk about a melt. HBO would have to do a follow up season on Chernobyl, documenting the meltdown that would occur in Baton Rouge. I would legitimately fear for the safety of the families of these kids.

At this point, all we need for a good ol bayou meltdown is for Saban to "have Roy and Guillory string LSU along until the very last minute, screwing them out of landing other prospects."

Be glad we didn't get Dean.. a lot more will come out of that recruitment.. I really wanted him too, but with all I have heard now. Its best we didn't win that bid

I'm perfectly happy with Christian Harris and Shane Lee. With Lee's downhill ability and Harris' athleticism to play sideline to sideline, that could end up being a very solid duo in the future.

Jaquelin Roy announced via Instagram he will be committing on July 26. Does anyone know how our insiders still feel about him? I know after he camped in Ttown Hank and Tim felt good about landing this kid, but have they said anything recently?

I'd like our chances better if he was committing later in the year, but a Summer time commitment makes me think he'll choose LSU again.

This will probably come to nothing but there may be an outside chance that it could impact Clay Helton which in turn could impact Bryce Young.

-- Appears on the verge of announcing any day.


4-star S/CB Xavion Alford 6-0.5/188 TX hudl
-- "Coach Saban, every time I go up there, he makes it clear that he really wants me... It could be today, tomorrow, a month from now, it could be real soon.”

-- Announcing July 29 at 7 pm. It appears he'll commit to UGA.


4-star WR EJ Williams 6-3.5/192 AL hudl *
-- By late August. At The Opening Finals on June 30, he said Bama is #1 and Clemson #2. But the concensus among 247 analysts is that he's still trending to Clemson. He camped at Clemson in June and said he plans to attend their "All In" big recruiting event the last weekend in July.


5-star RB Zachary Evans 5-11/200 TX hudl
-- Has said he may commit before FB season.


4-star ILB Jordan Banks 6-1/228 CA hudl
-- Came to the cookout and camp in June. Bama has been his leader since the June 2018 cookout. Hank told me he has a green light to commit, but also said in his post-visit article that Banks is targeting a late Nov decision. I don't see why he'd wait until then, putting himself at risk of Bama running out of room for him.

I planned to add Roy. I posted a copy of a prior post and then updated it. I also added Alford and EJ Williams and removed Grimes. Grimes is waiting until Nov to decide. Roy is announcing on the date of Bama's cookout.
