December slate is looking tough. When is key supposed to return?

I think Avery said he'll start participating in non-contact portions of practice this week

If we can get to 10-2 in our OOC and beat OU in the Big12/SEC challenge I think we can get in by just going .500 in conference.
we play 13 ooc games so if we go 9-4 and 9-9 in sec play, we get in imo. See Vandy last year.
18-13 with that schedule makes it
but that's why each game is a huge opportunity

I really want to see this team get to at least 20 wins.

what's more important than winning these early games is getting better as the season progresses.
I'd rather be a team like S Carolina last year and than win a bunch of games and then flame-out in the 1st round.
but yea just getting back to the dance will be nice. Long way to go. RTR!

It would be amazing to get him back by Arizona next Saturday but is probably doubtful. I will take the Texas game though.

Kind of a Gottfried way of doing it but I will take it.

Yes, and it needs to be changed to a penalty system if you're not coming to a set amount of games. I believe Byrne already said they're going to look into that
I'm rooting for ya'll to push that change through. It would finally push our AD to make a similar change. Unfortunately, it is just a tough situation when the people doing this are your major donors
quote:
Why not just let people electronically return unused tickets for a five dollar credit and sell them to the gp at the box office?
I assume the same situation for AU/Bama, so the AU explanation (from someone in AD) should be close enough
At AU, the last premium seats that became available sold to donation levels (I believe donations not related to tickets) of ~$100k for Arena Club seats, ~$300k for courtside/baseline seats.
1- People with that money aren't worried about $5 credit
2- People with that money aren't worried about the face amount of the ticket (~$75-100/game, rest is "donation")
3- People like that often are old
They view their tickets the same way someone views the cheapseat tickets, where it is too much of a hassle to give it away for a garbage game + they are willing to eat the cost. If they knew someone who wanted to go, they'd give them but as long as it cost them no time to make it happen
What Alabama + Auburn has tried to do is get these people to "donate" or "resell" tickets, even day of the game, by calling in or indicating this online. Unfortunately, many season ticket holders still mail in season ticket reorder forms / probably never go on a computer (they're old)
My Favorite "Premium Seat Owners are aholes" story though
I've told it here/AU board before but it is a crowd favorite.
During Auburn, GState game last year, an Auburn courtside season ticket holder called his TUF contact in the middle of the game to complain that he saw people sitting in his courtside seats that should be empty. I want to say it was some reporters spilling over from media desk who wanted room but still
Let that sink in though, this m'fer called Auburn to complain about the seats being used by someone when they should go empty. He had absolutely no shame about not showing up

the students should be on the court, not in the corner.
This shouldn't even be debateable.

Well next you’re gonna tell me that hundreds of Kentucky fans shouldn’t have better seats than 3/4ths of the student section
It’s not just that they give the students terrible seats, the section itself is absurd. It’s so tall and narrow that it doesn’t create that cluster of students that every decent home court has

They're off to a very underwhelming start. Hopefully they turn it around.

I'm prepared to be left out of the playoffs tomorrow, but at least we get to watch Bama-UCF right after that
