Meh I have no problem with the kids being excited when they saw "Alabama" up on the selection Sunday board. Every team goes crazy , alot of work and a long season goes into that. They didn't fall apart this year when it would've been easy to do so.

Or they lost to a far more talented and rested team

My statement had nothing to do with Kentucky or the SECT performance.

They acted like they had won a championship/tournament when it was announced they were in the NCAAT.

Can confirm Hall practiced, but was limited to participating in the daily half-court shot team drills. Sources say he was on point due to the repetition.

I told you Hall couldn't build a candy house because it would fall down and the sun would make it melt, it won't WORK!

If my team wasn’t excited about making the tourney, I’d be concerned. There was 0% wrong with the celebration. I don’t understand why that’s even considered a problem...

There's a difference between excitement and celebration.

They should be excited for the opportunity.

Rested doesn't help you pass concussion protocol

This isn't football so the risk is prob a good bit lower, but you don't F with head injuries.

Penny funds the big Memphis AAU team, coaches those kids and has a better relationship

There's no way I see UK pulling in those kids over Penny at hometown Memphis.

Calipari has been in on Wiseman for a while. Who would u trust to better prepare u for the NBA right now? Penny is a high school coach who hasnt coached a college game yet.

Quite a few guys seemed to be fine signing with Leonard Hamilton and Lorenzo Romar over the years and we all know both of those guys can't coach for sh**

He is a former NBA all star who "knows what it takes" and "got him this far" and is probably "like a father figure" or some other combo of standard quotes to ignore the $ funneled to him

It will be a similar situation if Crean gets a job when Bama recruits Watford. Going to be tough a fight if that happens

Are you aware how common this is?

Are you aware how common this is for a team that doesn't have a single player that has ever made the tournament?

You can't tell them to act like they've been there before when they literally never have.

I'm not on the team and I had a similar reaction to them. This is only our second tournament appearance in like 12 years.

And also - put all the bullshite aside for a moment and remember that these are roughly 18-20 year old kids that achieved one of their bigger goals of the season. You're mad that they lost five games in a row or whatever so now they can't celebrate an accomplishment?

When I read through this thread everyday, sometimes I can't tell if some people in here love this team or love to hate on this team.

Be happy for the kids in that moment and be happy that we made the tournament. Hopefully it becomes a regular thing, but we haven't been able to watch many meaningful Alabama games in March in the past 15 years.
