I watched some of La Tech's game against Evansville and to be honest I wasn't overly impressed. Their offense was mediocre outside of transition. Their guards are probably talented enough to explode and pull off a surprise win, but I feel pretty good about tomorrow's game.

Alabama and Minnesota both had press conferences today:

Avery said they practiced a fight between Donta Hall and Landon Fuller in practice today he said they went over what exactly to do so we won't have that problem again. Said Donta won

Richard Pitino confirmed Collin did walk up to him and jokingly ask if he could call a timeout lol and Pitino said he laughed and said tell Avery to call his last one.

Pitino also said once we had 3 players, he wanted to take it easy and not embarrass us, but he wanted to hit a few shots and win. Then Sexton started going off and they panicked and didn't know exactly what to do.

Petty is a game time decision for tomorrow. Key could come back and start doing non-contact portions of practice next week. He's increased his workload.

Collin said when they were down to 3 guys, Avery was still drawing up plays and Collin said they were like "Coach, there's no way this is going to work" but they tried and the plays worked. Then Collin said that's when they said "he may know what he's talking about"

There's a new wall "painting" (I guess that's what u would call it) in Coleman Coliseum now that says "Where Legends Are Made"

Listening to Pitino after the game I really liked him. He was pretty hoenst about all of it and complimentary to Sexton.

I remember he was a candidate for the Alabama job after we missed on Marshall. I thought that was a terrible idea and still think it probably wouldn't have worked out as well as Avery. But I'm impressed that he's turned Minnesota into a basketball school

He was never a candidate. It still rustles me that guys like Forde floated his name like anything was serious.

Perdue beat Louisville. I doubt it helps much, but in my mind this is better for us than if Louisville won.

Yea, I remember when I read that and then reading people who knew exactly what was going on and they chuckled.

He's figured it out there, though.

I'm guessing they're ranked ahead of us and it could help us move up a spot next week? Idk what they're ranked

Every bit helps.

Purdue beat Arizona, lost to Tennessee, will play Lipscomb and Minnesota(x2).

Louisville only plays Memphis and Kentucky.

Ok I can go with that. I usually just think about our head to head games and then look at how our opponent does rest of season

It's gameday! I've honestly been more excited about the basketball team than the football team this year. I would assume Petty doesn't play, or if he does, then very little. The good thing is, we really have quality depth. I would think Herb(ert) would get a lot more time, if Petty is out.
