NIT Bracket
LINK

Miss St vs Nebraska is a pretty good first round game
LSU/Louisiana

Looks like SCar didn't make it after all.

Wouldn't shock me. They have some good ingredients to make a run for sure

I could see MIzzzou making a run too. I'm not sold on Xavier, especially since Xavier plays a good amount of zone + packline defense

With Porter in the fold, they have 4 solid 3FG shooters of which 3 (Porter/Porter/Barnett) are big guys who can easily shoot over a closeout

All 3 guys on espn2 picked Va Tech to beat us. They said their guards would be able to stay in front and contain Sexton.

Kenny Smith picked us, have seen a few others pick us as well. Been a pretty even split from what I've seen. Really could go either way. It's about as much of a coin flip game as you can get.

I don't see that happening at all, VT isn't known for their defense.

They are 146th in points given up per game.

They have a good offense.

Yea, nobody has any real clue, especially given our nature.

Theyre small like Auburn but I dont think they shoot as well as Auburn or are as good. I think its a good matchup for us.

Tech is jeckyl and Hyde too, but 8vs 9 are always tossups. That being said not sure their guards can keep Collin out of the lane

Yeah, Crean basically said from what he’s watched of Alabama he thinks Sexton doesn’t like to play against physical or long defenders, and that our occasional lapses to get back on defense could cost us against Va Tech’s shooters.

Va Tech is undersized comparatively I think.

Sexton will get his. I don't know why they act like Sexton was shut down by Kentucky. He still dropped 21 on them. Kentucky just shot a ridiculously fluky 81% in the second half.

It's the other guys like Petty who need to step up. Having Hall back will be huge too.

It wasnt like all of UK shots were open either...I mean we contested a lot of them and they still made them.

LOL at that.

Nobody at this level has or can. The best way to contain Sexton is to have great rim protectors. VA Tech doesn't even have decent ones. I think we matchup pretty well with them.

Tweeted this, but I'll post it here...

Reasons I'm optimistic we have a solid CHANCE at a sweet 16:

VT: Good Def and Off team, but a bad rebounding team. No rim protectors gives Sexton free rein to attack the rim.

Villanova: Arguably the best offensive team, but not a good defensive team. Poor on the O-Boards.

I just don't know how anyone can act like they have any clue how we will come out and play.

With everyone talking about Tech being undersized, I hope we try going over the top to Hall to set the tone like we did against Auburn Friday.

They have some pretty big guards. Bibbs is 6'5 220. Same height as Ingram but 12 pounds heavier. Nickeil Alexander-Walker is 6'5 210. For comparisons sake Sexton is 6'3 190.

Blackshear, their best rebounder is pretty big too at 6'10 260. Donta Hall is 6'9 230.

Remember, except for 2016, Nova has usually choked in the tournament.

I agree Kentucky didn't stop him, was a quieter 21 because he got to the line...But points are points. Switching subjects I'd love for dj Jeffries to pick us tmrw night but I'm guessing UK is team to beat.
