He has the potential to be a bigger Trevor Releford. Releford was a terrible shooter his first 2 years, small, not very athletic, but used strength and savvy to get by defenders and was a great finisher. He improved his jump shot, and his entire game opened up. I'm not saying Ingram will be the next Releford (in fact I'd say he won't be), but he certainly has the potential to be a similarly great player.

Nothing would make me happier than if you were right, although I just can't see it. Imo, finding a dependable point guard is CAJ's #1 priority. I sure hope the new kid starts fast, but you can't count on that. After that, overall TEAM shooting has got to improve....not just 3 point shooting, but we are in dire need of intermediate range (12-15 ft) jump shooters. Finally, our rebounding (physicality) from our bigs needs to improve a bunch. I was really happy to see the improvement in effort and results with our rebounding today...shows that we can if we really want it.

That was a good team they beat today. The flagship of Louisiana.

Avery should look at the Juco ranks as well as grad transfers.

If you are relying on Ingram to be an option 1 guy, you're going to have a bad time

That's putting it lightly.

I doubt he's even a Clemson fan, but I respond to him just to have fun.

I don't know. He's one of those people that just annoys the hell out of me.

If you ever watch a UVA game, it is very easy to see why they win 30+ almost annually, even against good 3fg schools

That defense is smothering. It is absolutely unreal what they are able to do.

I absolutely love to watch them and tremendously admire their game...reminds me a little of the game we played back in ancient times when coaches actually taught basketball fundamentals.

It's old school. I like it too. I miss the physicality of the game from the 80s and 90s

UVA isn't even that physical, almost all contact is started by the offensive player

They are very aggressive, but not really physical if that makes sense. Their post D for example is about ball denial/double team post + help D staying in front of penetration

They dont really go for blocks, push guys around or absorb contact

It's insane watching them play and how fundamentally sound and technical they are on defense. If we play them I really don't think we'd hit 40 points. Like you said earlier you expect some team to get hot and hit threes against them, but you don't want to play them and hope you're that team

Smith started again and his stat line shows zero points, zero rebounds 4 PF's and 1 TO. Can someone tell me why he is even playing. Jones stat lines not much better.

Well he was fantastic yesterday and our best big didn't play at all today, so.

He has a known bad rep w AU. I don't remember the full details but at an AU home game our AD officials had to warn/talk w him about his conduct, specifically towards the kids who mop the floor.

It's a weird situation for sure. It appears that Bruce is to blame, more importantly a HC should be above that reaction to a S&C coach.

I'm still a little confused on what the S&C coach was up to though. I mean, he's all by all by himself, not w his team, standing in the middle of the crowd in the most "in the way" possible.

I'm not saying he was in the wrong or deserved to get run into, I'm genuinely curious wtf he was doing. He looks more zoned out than Bruce did

The Earthquake game....I hope to God Petty has a Felix type game.

I was in Amsterdam for this game and found a bar with a bartender knowing NOTHING about college hoops agreeing to hang with me and watch the game and keep the place open. The game didn't start until like 2:15am over there and then got delayed. I was crushed and split before it started - couldn't stay awake any longer.

I came back two nights later for the next game. Different bartender didn't let me stay in the bar (another 2am start) but turned on the game, opened the window, set up a table outside and gave me 3 pitchers of beer for free. I watched it through the window. Tough loss.

He dogs the people who mop sweat in Coleman coliseum too. He's serious about players not slipping out there.

As for Bruce, that was a sore loser bitch move yesterday. I love the guy, but his actions were dumb and his explanation of what happened was comical after seeing the video.

Giddens hurt his knee in the game yesterday. He also has looked like he forgot how to play anything resembling the game of basketball the last month, although he was better today.
