What reports about resentment towards sexton?? Lol if anyone resents sexton that's a "them" problem.

I’ve never seen a collapse like this in all of my years of following Alabama athlwtics. We went from a lock, ranked 15th in Andy Katz’s power rankings to missing the tournament. Someone has to be fired, even if it’s not Johnson.

The 2nd half of the Auburn game is when they mentally gave in. The Arkansas game was just kind of malaise throughout, and then they mentally gave in against Florida...........goodness I don't know, after they missed the first 3 or 4 shots in a row?

Yea, having an issue with Sexton would explain a lot. It would confirm that the majority of the upperclassmen on this team are mental midgets and that I can't wait to see them hit the door.

I assume the AD will accept an NIT bid so this shet show could go on another couple of weeks.

I think they will improve dramatically......while anything is possible, I wouldn't take any bets on that happening with players that performed like they did last night with a bid on the line.

I just don't get there being dissent towards Sexton. From my eyes, he and Hall are the only 2 that have given it their all in every game.

Ingram and Key have been very disappointing these last 4 games. The light had seemed to come on for both of them midway through the season, but they've both regressed. Key has contributed points, but he has been so sloppy with the ball.

We're just delaying the inevitable because of Avery's contract. Hope Byrne is already searching.

Meh Sexton is a great player and he’ll be a lottery pick but I feel we’re better as a team without him on the floor. See us beating Auburn at home.

So that means we're better without Hall, too? Because he didn't play most of that game either.

Whatever, the point isn't whether we are good or not without it, it's that he is one of about 3 guys who plays with effort and energy every second of the game regardless of what is going on. To somehow act like he is the reason guys would be pissy is laughable. They can all fvck off.

We can probably forget about it with Avery too. No one is going to want to play in an offensive system as bad as ours.

That's a narrow view, my guess is any resentment would come from the older guys. He busts his arse, cheers on his teammates and never quits. If anyone resents that they need to check themselves.

Without knowing what’s going on it’s hard to speculate. If Avery is treating him differently then that’s poor coaching.

Sexton was supposed to be a vocal leader wise beyond his years. I haven’t seen that.

Tom Crean not only can coach but would also pretty much guarantee Watford.

He also taunts and does things one could consider selfish.

Not much a kid can do when his coach accepts things like multiple, consecutive lazy passes to the wings or getting beat off the dribble multiple times in a row.

The tone was set early. Avery didn't punish things that are just purely not allowed by coaches who establish hard and fast tenants of their program. At that point, all bets were off.

As the season has gone on, it should be obvious that game was an anomaly. Auburn shot the 3 poorly, and Petty hit 7 or 8 of them. Neither of those has really happened since that game other than AU's performance at South Carolina last week.

He also competes for 40 minutes. I'd take the competitive spirit and edge of Collin Sexton 10 times out of 10. I'd sure as hell take it over sulking, mopey Ingram and Key.

Are we sure about this? I know the older brother came to Crean's defense against the IU pitchfork crowd on Twitter, but Crean didn't even offer Trendon when he was coach at IU. Maybe he just knew the writing was on the wall at Indiana, so he stopped recruiting.

I'd rather get a new HC than worry about 1 recruiting cycle. If he's a good HC, he should be able to get his guys. Unless that class guarantees an NCAAT for at least 2 years, then I really could care less.

We need a coach that can incorporate an offensive identity and get his team to play solid fundamental basketball consistently. I don't care if he can recruit top 10 classes, or find guys like Gonzaga or Wisconsin. Just fricking please find guys that can shoot and can run your offense.

its crazy that it is so difficult for us to have this at Alabama. Its like a curse that we are consistently hamstrung on offense.
