I mean I think we can beat a lot of really good teams when we play well, but we are inconsistent as shite. Like playing Russian roulette.

So I guess it depends on if consistency is a requirement to you for “being better” haha.

We’re not as much better as we should be. They have not gelled very well. Petty has flopped except for a few shining moments, Herb has shown potential and some growth but has a long way to go. The experienced players haven’t really been made better with Collin on the floor as we had hoped and the front court still has a ways to go. It’s the Collin Sexton show and Ingram, Giddens, Petty and Hall have front row seats.

Idk how pessimistic you guys are, VOLS have never played well in Coleman and I won't believe it until I see it. We had very tired legs tonight and idk if they have enough in the tank to win back to back on the road.

We've won in Coleman once since Bruce left. Admiral was short on everything tonight, same with Bowden and really anyone not named Turner.

I will be shocked if we don't come out sluggish Saturday, and if we actually pull out a win in Coleman 3 days after a win in Rupp, I will begin charting our path to San Antonio.

Hey there.

Is it not what this board does?We bitch after literally every loss. In a road game where we weren't favored, we lost by 4 pts. If we completely shite the bed, then how was it not much worse?

I've bitched after every bad loss too... But today was not a bad loss no matter how hard you try to paint it that way...

When you're trying to limp into the tournament, every loss is bad.

Seriously? In retrospect we were awful in ooc play- one point wins over UT-A and Mercer, barely beating La Tech, losing to UCF and Minnesota, and getting boat raced by Texas. None of those teams are particularly good. Outside of the Rhode Island win, I don't see any good result in November and December.

At the very least, we are a much better defensive team. I think we're noticably better overall.

You know what I mean

Look I get the frustration that comes with being on the bubble, but freaking out over what not a bad loss (according to the RPI and most analysts out there) isn't healthy. Save your heart some stress and wait until we shite our pants in the final 5 games of the regular season.

I've been a Bama basketball fan way too long to start worrying about my heart now.

No. Not at all. We were the same team tonight that we were in November. But that's what young teams do, especially when faced with a tough schedule.

As a unit I agree with you...a few players have progressed individually though.

Ed Zackery....more of the SOS with a different year. I am glad Grant is history. He was a big F mistake. That guy had to have been an azzzhole baby.

I just don't see it. I think we play up or down to our level of competition every game except for Georgia and Texas. There's no consistency game to game or even minute to minute.

Based on what? I don't see what game in November and December was impressive from this team. Rhode Island was an impressive win, but neither team played well at all in that game.

I think y'all are forgetting just how bad our team defense was. Minnesota was dunking all over us before we had our whole bench ejected.

And Florida.

The consistency hasn't gotten much better, but I'd say our worst has gotten a little better and our best has definitely gotten better. I don't think there's much of a chance we beat Florida on the road early in the season, much less in the blowout fashion we did.

We're definitely inconsistent now, but I'd argue to start the season we were consistently bad. We would lose guys on defense constantly. Barely beating La Tech, UT-A and Mercer in home games are worse performances than anything we've shown in conference play outside of the UGA game.

If we win out on home games, not a guarantee at ALL, we'd finish 19-12 (10-8) and give us an RPI of around 30.

If we lose to Tennessee and win the other 3 home games (and lose all road games) that would put us at 18-13 (9-9) and an RPI around 43.

I actually still hold to the belief that we played a pretty decent ballgame against UTA. I don't understand how they are so meh.

Louisiana Tech, UCF and Mercer were awful.
