We could probably use King. C-USA is certainly a step down in competition but he'd be our 2nd best FT shooter this year, and that's the same no matter where you're playing. He would also be only the 3rd guy on our team making more than 35% of his 3s (at least among the ones who take many of them) although I guess you can attribute some part of that to level of competition.

This is a little bit off topic, but why hasn't Shelton State's Madonna Thompson been offered a big time job? She seems to be a really good coach. Maybe she has turned jobs down and I just never heard about it.

Where is this key transferring stuff coming from? I don't think he's going anywhere or has been unhappy. He's a crucial piece now and would be next year.

There’s definitely a chance he transfers or enters the draft/goes overseas. Believe me.

Yeah I'd take King for sure. I was hoping he wouldn't leave during the off-season.

I think it's because of the draft test last year combined with him not being from our typical recruiting area. I don't think he'll give up a starting role to sit out a year, so I don't think he transfers unless he graduates early. He's smart, so that wouldn't be surprising.

If he wasn't an Avery recruit I'd agree but I don't think he's gonna go somewhere and sit out and lose a year. Just don't know where the transfer line of thinking is coming from smh.

In other news the ESPN trae young slobfest continues. Oklahoma lost tonight ...But what does sportscenter do? They're gonna have Young's "greatest moments" segment later. Lol unbelievable

They also had the stat tracker thing on the screen again for Young during the game. Jerry Palm called them out on it.

I also saw an ESPN video where they were telling everyone little known facts about Trae Young or something like that. He could fricking tie his shoe and they’d talk about him

I want to know what their exit strategy is if he ends up not being a very good pro, which I think is a distinct possibility. He's a bit small, he's a good not great athlete, and I would call his defense bad, but that would imply he actually tries and just isn't very good at it when in reality he puts forth absolutely zero effort whatsoever.

He was just staying in front of Jevon Carter during the game tonight and Fran said " nice d by trae young ". Lol it's just comical at this point. Props tho to j Williams while ago for saying sexton is best guard prospect for NBA .

Even though it's going against my recent formula for picking, I think we pull it out tonight. It'll be tough. Miss State is a strong team. Hopefully their crowd will be mediocre because they all went to the women's game last night.

Winning tonight would be cool.

Enterting it with the 100% expectation of a loss, though.

That’s the proper perspective to have.

If the do manage to pull it out, the path to the tourney gets a lot more manageable.

Agree on Austin, but Kessens started 22 games in CAJ's first year. To think he wouldn't contribute at all last year with the hole we had at the 4 doesn't make much sense to me.

Grant would lose starters to transfer/discipline. Avery has lost role players.

Tony Mitchell had a major attitude problem. Not sure how that's Grant's fault. CAJ had the same issue with Hale on a smaller scale.

Outside of Mitchell, the only true starting level player we lost was Lacey. With the way Key and King have played this year, I'd say there's a slim-to-none chance that King doesn't get the start at the 4 this year.

When you actually dig into how the Grant transfers did post-transfer, you can see that 3 of the 4 transfers Avery has had thus far (Coleman, King, and Kessens) have already had better production (in most cases far better) than all of Grant's transfers (sans Lacey) did at their new school.

I'm not trying to shite on Avery. I'm trying to say that the transfer epidemic wasn't on CAG. Him not being prepared for it every year was.

I got a good feeling about tonight. I had a bad one against Mizzou and Ole Miss.

Fran is by far the worst. I actually like his commentary normally, but that Bama-Oklahoma game was a Fran wankfest for Young.
