Idk if the Minnesota loss will hurt us with the committee because of the 3 on 5.(Even though they were kicking our arse before the ejection)

Im still shocked about UT-Arlington, They destroyed OU in a scrimmage,beat a very good BYU by double digits, and gave us all we wanted in TTown. I thought they were legit.

Maybe they'll turn it on in their conference tournament. Who knows?

Hopefully the committee will give us a break on Minnesota also since we played them with Reggie Lynch. They're about to be a Q3 loss.

UT-Arlington seems like the kind of team that will probably go off come conference tournament time. All I know is that Hervey kid had NBA all over him that night.

I also think we just caught them on a bad night. Not often a team shoots 62% in the first half.

Auburn lost to D2 Barry University in an exhibition. I think we can say that preseason matchups don't matter

To add some perspective on how hard the rest of our schedule, here it is in the NCAA tournament quadrants. The numbers are RPIs if you didn't know.

Q1 (Top 30 Home, Top 50 Neutral, Top 75 Away)
@Florida 36
@Miss State 70
Tennessee 13
@Kentucky 12
@Auburn 5
Arkansas 22
@Texas A&M 37

Q2(31-75 Home, 51-100 Neutral, 76-135 Away)
Missouri 47
Florida 36

Q3(76-160 Home, 101-200 Neutral, 136-240 Away)
LSU 81

Q4(161+ Home, 201+ Neutral, 241+ Away)

If those numbers more or less hold, by the end of the regular season we'd have 13 Q1, 11 Q2, 4 Q3, and only 3 Q4 games.

Yea - if you count Missouri and LSU as probable wins that leaves 2 more needed to get to 18.

However, the games left to get those 2 are insane.

This is why losing home games to teams like UCF and on the road against a horrible Vandy team always come back to haunt you in February. We have to win 2 of Florida, Tennessee, and Arkansas. aTm may be on the verge of quitting on their season so by the time we head to College Station that may be an opportunity for a win, but I don't expect to win any of our remaining road games. If we steal one it'll just be a bonus.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we go 3-2 over the next 5. Then finish the season 0-5, go 1-1 in the tournament, and get left out with 18 wins.

I hate saying it because I know it won't happen and will crash and burn - but I truly think they're figuring things out. Sexton healthy and figuring out how to mesh back in, rest of guys continuing to play with confidence learned in Sexton injury games, team defense improving leaps and bounds.

I feel pretty good about us. So, gonna lose to Missouri.

I know man. If we had taken care of business in that one and against Vandy we are top 25 right now and all but a lock for the tournament. But that's Bama basketball. Always has been always will be.

worrying about who we lost to and who we have to play down the line is a waste of time.

MISSOURI!

that's it!

I wonder how many years of consistent success it will take for either Alabama or Auburn bball fans to get over battered fan syndrome

TeamRankings gives AU a "99.5%" probability of receiving a NCAAT bid and all I can think is "Auburn basketball lives in theat 0.5%"

We’re not ones playing or coaching so it doesn’t matter that we’re not focusing just on Missouri.

What do you think this place is? A message board thread talking about basketball?
