Tough remaining schedule but I think 18 wins gets us in.

Oh I will freely admit that we had a great plan for dealing with Young. He hit a few 3s but he had to earn all of his points, and we forced him into a lot of turnovers. They credited him with 5, but it felt like a lot more than that. We were very active in passing lanes today. My big issues are lineup decisions and consistency. If those were better we'd be a really good team.

He is going to be a much better coach when his son graduates.

consistency

I just don't buy hoping for a team this young to be super consistent.

Herb should start over Braxton....even though Key did make 2 Huge 3's

Different positions. I've said this before, but you don't want to waste his minutes at the 4 where he lacks the girth to defend physical players. You want all of his minutes at the 2 or 3 (hell I'd take him at the 1). I'd give him Ingram's spot though.

What a great game. Avery coached his arse off. The atmosphere at Coleman seemed great. Huge win.

As bipolar as this board is, we did get on the Herbert Jones train pretty early. Before the season was even close to starting actually.

God damn that was fun.

Let’s enjoy it today, but I hope our guys realize what’s ahead of them won’t come easy.

If we can bottle this performance and bring it most every night, we will be hard to beat for the rest of the season.

Is MPJ expected back when we play them on Wednesday? I haven’t kept up with him at all so I have no idea.

Nah porter still isn't a given to come back in the regular season.

I think the latter would be partially solved by the former. We get into a good flow, then he makes some subs (often meaning we take Sexton or Herbert off the floor in favor of Jr.) and go into a funk.

Ingram made some monster plays down the stretch to finish this game off.

Start him over Petty. Petty can fill the exact role he has as a guy who can occasionally get hot from 3 as a 6th man. Petty isn't a good defender and his passing is so damn bad.

Good to hear.

BPI gives a 66.3% chance of winning that one.

Would be nice to see us win comfortably by 10 or more.

I’ll take a 1 point win if I have to though.

Only part that really aggravates me about Avery is that whenever we get momentum he always take Sexton and Petty out and puts in Jr. and a lineup that cant score.

That's the big issue. Has all the scores in the starting lineup and has no consistent scoring threat coming off the bench

Petty looked much better as a passer and as an all around player while Sexton missed a couple games imo.

But I don’t disagree with you, Petty could be an elite 6th man if he bought into it.

Having said that, he hit some huge threes at the beginning of the game today.

Jr should get zero minutes. It is painfully obvious. Just needs to let Dazon run the 2nd unit.

Going back and reading this thread was fun. People trashing Key ALL game long and then he buried back to back 3s and we never looked back
*this is not an endorsement of his 1st half play*
