I'm going to have to hear the actual exchange before I throw Dazon under the bus. If he said that, I'd be more inclined to think he misunderstood the question or something.

The earlier stats probably showed two sides of the same coin: when the team is struggling, Colin tries to shoulder more of the load so he scores more. When the points are more evenly distributed, Petty has a higher average and we win more.
I know we have talent and I know we have young talent. I also know teams like Georgia and Vandy don't have better players than we do. So my frustration is with the coaching staff. The young talent needs to be taught what type of intensity they need to bring every night and how that has to be even higher for an SEC road game. Instead, Avery is still running around telling everybody to buckle up. Hey, we're buckled, man. Been waiting on the results. Show me something. In reality, I can easily forgive the loss in Nashville. Nobody plays well in that shithole gym and we helped write the book on how to lose to an inferior team there. What I can't stomach is going to Athens and letting a middle of the pack team beat the dogshit out of us. And scoring a whopping 46, half of which belonged to our one-and-done guard. So the entire rest of the team managed 23 points against Georgia. That still both blows my mind and totally infuriates me. I could take my fat, middle-aged arse and 4 of you guys to Athens and put up 23 points over an entire game. That's not even trying. You can't excuse that, you can't explain that, and you can't overlook it. And if there wasn't a "come to Jesus" meeting after that game, I don't think I want any of those coaches back in Tuscaloosa.

I agree with you Teague. It almost sounds as if he misunderstood the question.

Sounds to me like Avery needs to have a few more meetings with Nick to figure out how you evaluate character along with talent.

Maybe he started shooting them underhand?

I expect us to lose by 8 or 10 today. If we win, I’ll be very, very excited about this season again. Bc then we’ll be on a 2 game winning streak going into a home game against Auburn

We haven't won two in a row in six weeks. It'd be nice to change that at the least.

Cecil:
Update: Donta Hall had a surgical procedure on his wrist and is expected to miss approximately 10 days. Will not play vs. LSU tonight, obviously.
