Roll Tide from New Orleans!!! This is my first post but could not take keeping up with my fellow Tide messages anymore without joining in. Will be watching to see if we can reel in Rueben tonight. Hopefully he will wear the crimson. Just a question, why is it basically a Bama-Auburn fight? What happen to Georgia? RTR

Welcome . Someone may have a different opinion. But it was a Bama-Georgia fight in the beginning with Bama holding a solid lead. But when Foster moved to Auburn he became a heavy auburn lean.

Then over the course of the season and recent events he has brought Bama back even with Auburn. Georgia sort of faded after the move, IMO.

Also heard Hill would be willing to walk-on

Wouldn't matter. If you are recruited and offered a scholarship then you would count against the numbers. That's why they offer "preferred walk on" to some kids. It isn't a scholarship, but it is an understanding of an opportunity to earn a scholarship at some point.

The rumor on Hill was that he would be open to grayshirt to help with numbers if necessary. Seems doubtful, but that was the rumor

That would really, really surprise me because I think he has the talent to be in the 2 deep this year.

There's also talk that Poggi may be considering greyshirting in order to be a part of our class. Crazy if true.

Back to the numbers thing, what we could do is just have someone like Hill not sign an LOI but still sign his scholarship papers when he enrolls in the summer like everyone else. That would circumvent the SEC 25 LOI rule. Ordinarily the institution wouldn't want to do that because other schools can keep recruiting him if he hasn't signed an LOI but I don't think we'd have anything to worry about with Grant.

Now that's a G-Move for sure... I like the way you think, LOL!!!

ETA: Auburn leads for Montravius per 247...

If Adams ends up at Auburn, I wouldn't be surprised to see Reuben follow. They are in desperate need of a big splash on Wednesday.

They should have a pretty strong class... they will get the Alexander kids, Rudy Ford, and Elijah Daniel... Those guys along with Lawson, Adams and Foster is pretty dang good for a new staff.

On a scale of 1-10, how confident are we about Foster?
