Sarc looks like they knocked Jonathan Allen down to a four star as well

He's a 4* in their composite ranking (average of all major sites), but he's still a 5* in the regular 247 rankings: LINK

Allen is worthy of a five star, but stars really don't matter.

I think he will be good this year. Just dont think he is a Patrick Peterson or the guys LSU had last year just yet. Those are lockdown corners.

Ok, well it's stupid to waste pages in the recruiting thread and resort to name-calling over where in the "good" to "lockdown" spectrum a current player will fall, so let's drop it and get back to recruiting

Thanks sarc, looks like it's gonna be a battle between us and Florida to see who ends up with the best class in the SEC, they've really been turning it on lately.D. Walker and Tunsil may be the deciding factors, getting Henry will help us out though, he's pretty much a consensus 5 star.

eta:Florida does have 20 commitments and we only have 18, and we are still ahead of them, I doubt they end up with a better class than us, but they still have a really good class.

A lot depends on how man each team takes. That 25 rule is total BS and is going to hurt the SEC in the long run.

I really wanna disagree with this. Auburn's guys will only move up as the season comes and goes, and if they get Adams and some other guys they're going after they will have a great class. LSU will have a great class too.

It's a national rule now, isn't it?

Is there a way to turn off 247's composite ratings and just show their's?

lol you guys are 8th and Adams seems to be the only 5 star left that you guys are in on.Bama will get Henry and D Walker, who are both 5 starrs, and still have a shot with Tunsil, Robert Foster, Matthew Thomas ect, who are all 5 stars.

Auburn has a great class though, if you get Adams it's gonna be the best d line class in the country.

The actual rating is above the composite right?

I just looked at the 247 website. I went to football recruit rankings and it allowed me to click a link for their rankings and composite rankings.

lol so Auburns players will move up once the season starts and ours won't?You try a little too hard to be nonbiased, also LSU is 10th and already have 21 commitments, no way they can move up 7 or 8 spots with onle 4 more spots open.

I agree that Auburn and LSU both have great classes though.

I'm being realistic here. I like 247 the most, but they underrate Aubie's class. I'd gladly take plenty of their guys over anyone in USC or Michigans class.

I was just fricking with you guys. I have no clue where we will end up in the rankings come NSD. The season hasn't even started and then they have the all-star games. Probably going to be a good bit of movement in the rankings between now and NSD. We should make a nice jump in the rankings in the near future after Bryant and Matthews flip and Kearse commits.
