I'll concede that DeSean Smith was talked about as being very interested in Alabama, but there isn't a Tide fan that would trade our TE haul for him now.
Ricky Jeffereson was talked about leaving the state far more by LSU fans because of his brother's situation. I don't know any Alabama recuitniks that felt we got him.
I know John Diarse was mentioned early on, but again that seemed to be fueled more by your side that ours.

The Tim Williams stuff was mostly fueled by Andrew Bone. I don't think many folks felt comfortable in getting a Lab product.
Kendell Beckwith is still in play for Alabama. He has visited several times in the past, and will likely do so again. The chance to play OLB is a selling point for Alabama, although LSU may do the same with him.

Honestly, none of us are that informed when you get down to it. We can only go by what's put out there by the services and the prospects themselves. These highly sought kids in Louisiana have shown enough interest in Alabama to suggest they are in play for UA.

We haven't shown interest in a JuCo again, so I assume the staff feels confident that Brandon Ivory, Darren Lake, and Darius Page can fit the bill. There's also the possibility that Korren Kirven or Dalvin Tomlinson could move inside after a year in the strength program. I really like the idea of Tomlinson there, with his wrestling background.

To add onto what Cap said, the only reason I ever even heard of Diarse is bc of a melt thread on the LSUrb about Diarse making pro-Bama tweets during the BCSNCG. I don't recall him ever being discussed much over here. Same with Ricky Jefferson.

Do you remember what Josh Chapman looked liked in 2007? Or that Lorenzo Washington was playing NG full-time that season? A year in a strength and conditioning program, with his wrestling background, could produce a solid NG (at least situationally). He's already 6-2 280 as we speak.

Everyone knows people use their recruiting thread for a sort of team thread as well. If you do it on the SECr you get a bunch of fans from other fan bases who supposedly know more about your team than you do.
