The NCAA has denied Ole Miss quarterback Chambliss’ request for a waiver to receive a sixth year of eligibility, ending his bid to return for another season in Oxford.

Chambliss, who had hoped to extend his career due to extenuating circumstances earlier in his college tenure, will now be ineligible to play during the 2026 season.

The decision forces Ole Miss to move forward without the veteran quarterback as the Rebels continue to shape their depth chart heading into the fall.

Lol, their only offense next year is to run Lacy the whole game. And then, every opposing team is going to eat that Golding defense for lunch. They missed their chance for anything good now that they don't have Lane that they starting talking sh!t about after he left. Now they can rot with pitiful Golding that all of them are bragging about. Suckers! Lmao
