While on Monday’s “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning," ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum declared Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin an “incredibly underrated” head coach...
quote:

“If you take away the sideshow of Lane Kiffin — all the drama, all the Twitter, all the fun stuff that we all laugh about and joke about — the guy is a terrific football coach,” Finebaum said. “He is incredibly underrated, and if you took all of that away and Lane Kiffin was a serious, dour guy like some of these other folks who are in college football, we would probably rank him among the top coaches in the country.”

“We look at his past and we hold that against him but you can’t hold against Lane Kiffin what he did 10 years ago at Southern Cal,” Finebaum added. “You can’t hold against him the meltdown at Alabama or some of this other stuff. The guy is a fantastic play-caller. He’s obviously done a great job of organizing.”

Lane and Ole Miss are a great fit. He's able to do what he wants there and they will support him. The only downfall will be when Lane gets bored of Oxford and sets his eyes on bigger school.

I like Lane. I think he brings a lot to the game- and there's always the humor factor; the guy likes to have fun. But as mentioned- there will eventually be greener pastures and he will go to them....

Kiffin is good coach. Got into the profession young and made some immature choices that gave him a reputation that he's currently looking to re-invent. He's done a stellar job at Ole Miss thus far.

Sounds like Ole PAW aka penis with ears, trying to set Lane up. He is thinking Lane could be a threat to Bama... maybe Lane praise will inflate his ego even more and he will self destruct like before..

PAWL likes to hype coaches up to tear them down. It's his schtick. He's a one trick pony.

Haha is there a single person out there that listens to anything Paul Finebaum says about sports and takes him seriously?? His callers got him a multi-year contract with ESPN and a daily TV show, now the guy completely forgot where he came from.. Lane Kiffin has been a below average head coach everywhere he has been but he keeps getting jobs somehow. The hype will calm down and he will go back to being the same Lane we all know too well.. Dude couldn't keep his act together for a couple weeks to coach in and possibly win a national championship, that is not a coach I want leading my program!
