Oklahoma GM Jim Nagy announced this week that the NCAA has denied a petition that would have awarded Sooners' linebacker Owen Heinecke another year of eligibility.

Nagy said that the Sooners plan to appeal the decision.

At this point, it almost makes more sense to give absolutely everyone unlimited eligibility. Even if they've played 20 years in the pros, come on back and play some more college sports.

The whole thing has become a bad joke.

frick the NCAA. Other guys are getting 6 or 7 years. This guy played 15 minutes of lacrosse and loses a full year.
