The Saints are not high on the list because of the loveable losers mentality Archie Manning instilled in the city. He was such an aw shucks nice guy who would always have positive things to say after losses. It was hard to dislike a guy who was so likeable. He didn’t criticize ownership, coaches, or players. He convinced us that everyone was trying their best but dang it we just didn’t get it done. The loser mentality he infected the fan base with persists to this day.
