Jets Gave Ultimatum To Aaron Rodgers About 2025 Season, Per Report
© Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports
The Jets are moving on from Aaron Rodgers. A new report surrounding Rodgers and the team indicates that the Jets were willing to have him back, but that he would have had to agree to one condition in alignment with the team's new leadership. Per Dianna Russini of The Athletic...
quote:

"I was told that when they had conversations with Aaron Rodgers about what the future would look like, if you’re going to be part of this team you’re going to attend all of the training camp,” Russini said on the "Scoop City" podcast.

“You’re not going to do Pat McAfee interviews anymore...They had a conversation with him of, ‘If you were to stay here, here is how we would want it to be.’ So this to me is Aaron Glenn getting control back," she added, referencing the team's new head coach.

They had a better record with Zach Wilson at the position.

I like Rodgers, but his head clearly isn't in football in anymore. As anyone that has done something for as long as he has, it's hard to step away and leave it be. He's "living long enough to see himself become the villain". Just needs to figure it out. Also I do like how coach laid down the law.

Good for Aaron Glenn. This guy seems like a walking distraction/special case and I cannot imagine he's much of a unifying figure in that locker room these days.
