The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went out and signed 6-foot-5, 464-pound Desmond Watson out of Florida as an undrafted free agent. And now he's on the non-football injury list for his weight...
quote:

Tampa Bay Times -- Desmond Watson was working with a trainer on another field when the Bucs began training camp. How quickly the defensive tackle can join his teammates depends on what the scales say.

…until Watson reaches an undisclosed weight goal set by the Bucs, it doesn’t appear he will be joining his teammates for practice. The Bucs placed Watson on the non-football illness list, even though he was able to work for about 30 minutes on conditioning Wednesday.

He was always 100 lbs overweight and UF failed him by never making him cut down to a playable weight. They were lucky he never died in practice.
