Sure they did. Funny how Sean Payton didn't tell this story right after that draft, but, rather, five years later. Easy to make yourself look better by saying you knew he was going to be a star. Payton is an overrated hack. Not sure why people are frothing at the mouth for him to succeed Mike McCarthy in Dallas. They've had basically the same record and been in the league almost the same amount of time, and both blew multiple chances to get to another Super Bowl with a Hall of Fame quarterback.
